Prior to the two-hour premiere, Lifetime will also air a Season 9 Matchmaking Special at 8PM ET/PT.
Like last season, Married at First Sight will feature four couples instead of three.
The four brides who will be getting married at first sight are Elizabeth Bice, a 29-year-old from South Carolina who was raised in Mooresville, NC; Iris Caldwell, a 27-year-old from Raleigh, NC; Amber Bowles, a 27-year-old currently living in the Charlotte area; and Deonna McNeill, a 30-year-old currently living in the Charlotte area.
The grooms who will be tying the knot with strangers are Jamie Thompson, a 35-year-old from Columbia, SC; Keith Manley, a 27-year-old from Greensboro, NC; Matthew Gwynne, a 32-year-old from Raleigh, NC; and Gregory Okotie, a 32-year-old from Fort Washington, MD.
The couples set to exchange vows after meeting at the wedding altar are Matthew and Amber, Gregory and Deonna, Elizabeth and Jamie, and Keith and Iris.
The pairings were matched by returning Married at First Sight experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson as well as newcomer Dr. Viviana Coles, a psychotherapist who is replacing Dr. Jessica Griffin on Season 9.
The strangers were matched based on their compatibility, goals, hobbies, religion, views of marriage, and more.
After meeting for the first time at their wedding ceremony, each Season 9 couple will then have the next eight weeks of their new married lives documented -- beginning with their wedding ceremony, reception and honeymoon, and continuing with the joys and struggles of daily life as they move in together and adjust to their new life as a married couple.
