Married at First Sight star Alyssa Ellman is standing by her belief that Chris Collette betrayed her by telling her family that she just wanted to be friends with Chris and didn't think they were compatible.

Chris, 35, and Alyssa, 30, were matched for matrimony on Season 14 of Married at First Sight by the show's experts Dr. Viviana Coles, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Pastor Calvin Roberson.

On Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, Alyssa watched back a Season 14 clip of a heated conversation she had with Chris in their hotel room in Puerto Rico a couple of days into their marriage.
"I find out that you're saying something to my family and my best friend, it's not being respectful," Alyssa says in the clip, seemingly referring to how Chris told her mother and best friend Taylor that Alyssa had said she just wanted to be friends and they weren't compatible.

"I would never do that to you, and I didn't do that to you."
Chris said he wasn't going to lie to Alyssa's mom and friend, but Alyssa insists, "It's not lying!"
"If they said, 'Hey, how's it going?' How would I respond to, 'How's it going? How was your wedding day?'" Chris asks.
Alyssa noted how Chris could have replied, "It wasn't the best," without revealing specific details.
"You're saying something that was supposed to be confidential," Alyssa complains. "I mean, this situation isn't fun and it's not good."

Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam asked Alyssa if she had a new or different perspective on the situation compared to how she had felt in the moment.
"I feel the same way now as I did in that moment. I didn't feel respected. I didn't feel like I could trust him," Alyssa admitted.
"We had a private conversation and it was made very clear that when we walked into that room, there were no cameras and there were no [microphones] and this was going to be in confidence in that room."

But Alyssa said Chris had taken those things and shared them with her mother and friend Taylor at brunch the next day behind his wife's back.

"So the fact that [our private talk] was disrespected made me feel not good," Alyssa explained.
Keshia, however, pointed out how if Alyssa's loved ones had asked Chris how his wedding night went and he replied something along the lines of, "It wasn't great," the women would most certainly have follow-up questions.
"I definitely think that they're going to ask, but also, my mom and my friends know the level that I'm okay with sharing," Alyssa replied.
Keshia went on to criticize Alyssa's desire to discuss things in private, suggesting Alyssa shouldn't have signed up for the TV show if she feels disrespected when things are shared with other people.
Alyssa explained how she wanted to be "respectful" and say certain things to Chris off-camera as to not hurt his feelings or come across like a mean person.

Keshia replied, "Okay," and then quietly added with disappointment in her voice, "I guess the viewers are just going to have to watch the show and kind of form their own observations as a result of what has been shown."
"I was just really hoping to kind of give your side of the story," Keshia noted.
Alyssa then wiped tears out of her eyes and firmly said, "I am going to get up [from my chair]."
"I hate that you're upset," Keshia said. "And I hate that you're crying."
Alyssa replied, "I am walking away from this conversation," before storming off the set and scurrying out of the room.

Once Alyssa quit the interview, Keshia continued talking to Alyssa's Married at First Sight co-stars Olajuwon Dickerson and Mark Maher without her.
After Alyssa and Chris tied the knot on Married at First Sight's fourteenth season, Alyssa acted a bit cold towards her husband but never flat out said she didn't like him or wasn't attracted to him.
Alyssa then lost her composure after speaking with Chris' three groomsmen at the wedding reception.
Chris' friends essentially revealed how Chris can be condescending, preachy and a bit arrogant when it comes to his opinions. They even made a comment about how Chris "loves to monologue," which immediately turned Alyssa off and left her worrying about Chris' personality and character traits.
Alyssa also told the cameras that Chris had referred to himself as "Alyssa's side piece" in an elevator and she found the remark disgusting.

"He may be a little immature," Alyssa complained in a confessional. "He wouldn't normally be my type. I don't want to get upset. I don't want this on-camera."
Once the cameras were off her face, viewers could hear Alyssa venting to a producer about Chris behind closed doors.
Alyssa alleged she and Chris are "so different" and she didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the same room as her new husband.
"Physically, I do not see one characteristic in him that I asked for," Alyssa lamented. "Do I sit with him and tell him this? What do you do in these situations?"
Once Alyssa exited the room, she apologized to Chris for making him sit by himself in the hotel lobby for so long, and she proceeded to tell him that she wanted to spend the night apart.

The next day, Alyssa decided she still wanted to go on her honeymoon to Puerto Rico, but she had given the impression she didn't want to spend time with Chris on the vacation. Alyssa even pointed out how she'd like to hang out with their cast members.
Alyssa flat out confessed to Chris that she felt "gypped" by being matched with him.
Once Chris voiced his frustration with Alyssa's lack of effort and also questioned her intentions for going on Married at First Sight to begin with, Alyssa scolded him for having disrespected her during his brunch conversation with her mother and friend Taylor.
"Dude, we are not compatible!" Alyssa shouted at her husband. "I don't want to argue anymore! Why don't we just stop and say, 'This isn't going to work?' And be respectful."
Chris noted how they looked compatible on paper but he believed he had been matched with someone who had "zero interest in trying."
Alyssa asked Chris to show her some respect, claiming she'd do the same for him in return, and then Chris agreed to give Alyssa the space she wanted.

Chris, however, felt he had not disrespected Alyssa at all, and he told the cameras that Alyssa appeared to be "gaslighting" him.
