Married at First Sight star Amber Martorana apparently got her heart broken by Dave Flaherty when he decided they should divorce on the reunion special, but she still doesn't believe he deserves backlash.

Amber posted an image at the time that read, "Blossoming into a badass woman with more faith than fear."
But Amber's display of courage and female empowerment appeared to morph many of her fans into Dave haters.
Some of Amber's followers suggested she dodged a bullet through Dave leaving the marriage, while another person flat out called her soon-to-be ex-husband an "egotistical assh-le."
"So, I just wanted to take a minute to talk about my post the other day. It's been a long couple of months of seeing a lot of negative comments and feeling really misunderstood," Amber began in her latest Instagram post.
"So it felt really great to hear positive words of encouragement and not feel crazy and have women relate to me, and that's been wonderful. But at the same time, I don't want the negativity to go in Dave's direction because I do care about him and we both went through this crazy, unique experience."
Amber struggled with insecurities about her appearance and the extent of Dave's feelings for her all season long, while she often labeled Dave as "critical" and "judgmental," adding that he had unrealistic expectations for her and their marriage.

"There were parts of our personalities that were magnified, and he's misunderstood in some ways too. So I just ask for understanding in both of our directions," Amber concluded in her post.
Although Dave and Amber decided to stay married on "Decision Day" at the end of Married at First Sight's eight-week experiment, Dave announced on the reunion special he was done with their relationship and there was no chance of reconciling.
Following numerous fights, Dave said Amber moved out of their house without any warning.

Amber admitted she had made a mistake, regretted leaving, and wanted to fight for her marriage, but Dave had already checked himself out.
Dave even rejected a request from Married at First Sight's three experts to attend counseling sessions with Amber for just a couple of months before signing the papers.
Married at First Sight is currently airing its new Honeymoon Island spinoff on Tuesday nights, and the show's Happily Ever After spinoff premieres October 30 on Lifetime.
