Married at First Sight star Chris Collette has revealed he was planning to move into his new Boston apartment after the honeymoon and if Alyssa Ellman wanted to join him, then great.

Alyssa, 30, and Chris, 35, were matched for matrimony on Season 14 of Married at First Sight by the show's experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Viviana Coles and Pastor Calvin Roberson.

Although Chris thought his wedding ceremony and reception were a success, Alyssa admitted to producers that Chris wasn't her "type" and she didn't like what his groomsmen had to say about him, including that he can be "condescending" in the spirit of debate.
Alyssa told Chris during their honeymoon in San Juan, Puerto Rico how their hobbies and lifestyles are not compatible and she wouldn't feel comfortable moving into an apartment with him once they returned to Boston, MA.

Alyssa therefore suggested Chris could live in the apartment for two weeks and then she could take over the place for the next two weeks -- a "strategy" in which Chris flat out said, "I'm not interested."
During the February 9 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, host Keshia Knight Pulliam asked Chris how he was feeling at the very end of his honeymoon in San Juan with Alyssa.
"I'm coming home [to Boston] from this honeymoon thinking, 'I'm going to stay on track. If I don't move in, then I haven't done what I said I would do to myself for the last three, four, five, six month getting ready for this,'" Chris explained of his mindset about one week into the extreme marriage experiment.
"So, for me, I'm going home and I'm moving in [to the apartment], and if she wants to come, great."
"Because like I said," he continued, "I only need one percent [effort from Alyssa to want to keep trying.]"

Chris' Married at First Sight co-star Lindsey Georgoulis joined him on Afterparty and shared, "I really want to commend Chris."
"I feel like you handled yourself with a lot of dignity and grace," Lindsey told Chris, "and honestly, you gave Alyssa a lot of compassion that she didn't deserve for the say she treated you."
Lindsey suggested Chris would have no problem dating if his marriage to Alyssa ultimately ended.
"I know there is somebody out there watching this [show] going, 'I'll take him!' [Alyssa] didn't even get a chance to know you!" Lindsey said.

"You are wildly successful, funny, a little quirky -- I'm not going to lie, you've got these little hand signals -- but, like, I'm with it! I'm with it!"
Alyssa allegedly consulted with a lawyer to get out of her marriage once it was made official on paper, and Chris said she wouldn't even give him her phone number before flying to Puerto Rico.
And other than participating in group outings with the cast, Alyssa and Chris appeared to only spend a few moments alone during their honeymoon, such as when they went paddleboarding and played tennis.
Chris thought Alyssa's attitude about living apart in Boston after the honeymoon was "just one more instance of her saying, 'I'm not here for the process, I'm here for the experience.'"

"She came into this [show] expecting perfection, and when she didn't get it said, 'Then I guess I'm done, now I'm just going to enjoy the trip to Puerto Rico, the apartment, time together [with our co-stars]' -- and I think it's ridiculous!" Chris vented on Afterparty.
Alyssa apparently couldn't stand Chris or even tolerate him, nevermind grow to like him.
She complained about his hand gestures and "aggressive" way of talking to producers in confessionals.
Alyssa vented on the latest Married at First Sight fourteenth-season episode, "I do not want to talk to him! I hate him! He is a f-cking assh-le! He is disrespectful and rude, and he's doing me dirty!"
Alyssa was furious Chris had questioned her intentions for going on the show, and she complained, "I'm a good person and if I don't come off that way on this show, I'm going to be f-cking pissed!"
Chris, not willing to totally give up on his marriage after less than one week, told Alyssa that if she was "all out," then he would be as well, but if she was even "one percent in," he'd be "all in" for her and their marriage going forward.
Alyssa, however, refused to give Chris a straight answer, knowing she didn't want her experience and time on Married at First Sight to end.
