But Chris and Alyssa's marriage only lasted one week, with Chris noting it must have been the quickest divorce in Married at First Sight history.
During the February 23 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, host Keshia Knight Pulliam asked Chris if he'd ever sign up to get married at first sight again despite his disastrous marriage to Alyssa.
"I don't know if I would marry somebody at first sight again," Chris revealed.
"But I don't regret having done it," the Boston-based real estate agent confirmed.
"All of the stuff I had to do to answer questions for the experts to then match me taught me more about myself."
Chris added, "And that makes me feel like whoever I'm in a relationship with next is going to get the best version of me that's ever existed."
Keshia commended Chris on carrying himself "with such class" throughout "the whole crazy experience" considering he had faced rejection every single day following his wedding night.
After tying the knot, Alyssa and Chris never appeared to have a single deep conversation, but Alyssa determined on her wedding night how Chris wasn't her type and he seemed to have a couple fatal flaws, such as the tendency to be "condescending" and a bit arrogant and argumentative in conversation.
Alyssa refused to sleep in the same hotel room as her husband on their wedding night, and she continued to keep her distance from Chris in the days that followed.
Chris even claimed on a previous episode of Afterparty that Alyssa had called a lawyer trying to get out of her marriage before traveling to San Juan, Puerto Rico, for their honeymoon and she wouldn't give Chris her phone number so they could stay in touch.

Chris also alleged that Alyssa refused to sit next to him on the flight to San Juan.
Within the next couple of days, Alyssa came to believe she and Chris were totally different and not a match. Alyssa said their hobbies and lifestyles had no commonalities, and she only participated in activities with Chris -- such as playing tennis or standup paddleboarding -- where they couldn't talk or get close to one another.
Chris attempted to keep his cool and persuade Alyssa to just get to know him and give him a chance, but the more Chris pushed, the more Alyssa pulled back. At one point, she even expressed "hate" and complete intolerance of Chris' presence to a producer.
Alyssa repeated how she felt "robbed" and "gypped" in the Married at First Sight process, and she broke down to a producer about how she had nothing left to say to Chris at all and couldn't even stand his hand gestures.
Once the couple returned home to Boston, Alyssa admitted to her mother that she had expected a cowboy to be standing at the top of the altar instead of a real estate agent on her wedding day.
Alyssa's mom said Chris seemed nice, but Alyssa countered, "You haven't seen how he treats me... He likes to debate until the cows go home."
However, during a therapy session with Pastor Cal, Alyssa announced how she'd like to continue on with the marriage experiment, seemingly so she could keep hanging out with her fellow Season 14 brides and enjoy the television experience.

"I think there are a lot of reasons to still be here, but I don't think marriage is the one that you're here for," Chris told Alyssa during their breakup conversation.
But Alyssa continued to insist how she had joined the Married at First Sight cast for the right reasons.
Chris explained on Afterparty, "I want to be as crystal clear about this as I can be."
"I totally agree that she gave 100 percent," he said, "but it was to get through the experience -- as friends... not to be [married]. And that's where I think the disconnect is. She'll think that she tried very, very hard, but it will be at the wrong thing."
Chris also said he and Alyssa haven't spoken since they told the cast during a bowling outing that their marriage is over.
Married at First Sight, which currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime, also stars Katina Goode and Olajuwon Dickerson, Steve Moy and Noi Phommasak, Jasmina Outar and Michael Morency, and Mark Maher and Lindsey Georgoulis.
