Married at First Sight star Chris Williams has accused Paige Banks of trying to "ruin him" by making him look like an "emotional abuser" on Season 12 when she had allegedly asked him to keep filming for the paycheck after he dumped her.

Despite admitting on his wedding day that he wasn't attracted to Paige, Chris continued to have a sexual relationship with his wife, and then he threatened Paige with divorce multiple times after discovering his ex-fiancee Mercedes Myrick -- whom he had been engaged to just three months prior to marrying a stranger on the show -- was pregnant with his child.

Chris was shown dumping Paige before their one-month anniversary because he claimed she wasn't a good communicator, and then Chris complained to Married at First Sight expert Pastor Calvin Roberson that Paige doesn't have a pretty face and the experts could have matched him with a beautiful Atlanta queen.
"When I was asked what was it I wasn't attracted to, I knew what I was doing," Chris began in a series of Tuesday night Instagram-Story postings.

"I was being tactful throughout the season by saying she is an amazing woman but she is not for me. The reason I switched up was because I was getting word that [Paige was] doing stuff to stab me in the back."
Chris said he "trusted the source" but didn't find out about Paige's alleged wrongdoing until Married at First Sight's twelfth season aired this past winter.
"I had no clue that you were telling people that I was trying to get back with you. You set me up. You asked me after our initial conversation with Pastor Cal to keep filming with you so that you could get your check," Chris claimed.
Chris said that after he ended the relationship, Paige allegedly called him on September 10, 2020.
"I had quit, but I felt bad for the situation so I agreed [to keep filming]. You then went and told the other ladies that I asked to have a conversation with you when that was a lie," Chris wrote.

"The world bashed me because they said I was playing you. The other ladies said that I was a horrible person for playing with you when it wasn't true!"

Chris also suggested it's unfair he was portrayed as the bad guy for not being attracted to Paige.
"You told me the same conversation that you wasn't attracted to me either," Chris noted.
"You said your type was taller than me (which I am 6 feet tall) and more muscular men. I said, 'Cool, we are in the same boat.' You also told my parents on camera. They edited it and didn't show it to make me into a villain! You were never upfront about that."

Chris continued, "The only reason I kept filming is because you on Sept 10th... almost two weeks into the wedding, asked me to keep filming. You said, 'I don't care if you go back to your baby moms, can you keep filming with me so I can get my check?' I hope you don't deny it."
Before Chris called the marriage off, Paige and Chris attempted to bond for several weeks by doing activities together, such as playing basketball and eating dinner.
During one of those evenings, Paige felt disrespected when Chris informed her -- after the fact -- he had purchased Mercedes a brand new luxury vehicle.
"The only reason I stated that I bought the Benz on camera was because you followed me and Mercedes' [social-media] pages with your burner account. You called me after she posted the car last year. You asked if I bought the car and I said 'yes.' You were upset and my response was, 'You know our agreement,'" Chris recalled of the alleged conversation.
"I didn't understand how you were mad and you knew we agreed to keep filming for your bag."

Chris elaborated of the Married at First Sight scene which earned him a lot of backlash and heat from fans, "I only mentioned it on camera because I knew how the producers operate."

"They will bring it up when you least expect it and make it messy," he said. "So I said I will bring it up myself because I don't like being caught off-guard. So I said it on camera even though we both knew."
Chris also claimed Paige had flat out "lied" about the couple sleeping together consistently during their honeymoon in Las Vegas.
"You lied and said that we had sex everyday on the honeymoon and once again I got bashed. You know half the nights you slept in the producers room and I slept on the couch! You tried to ruin me!" Chris wrote.
Chris accused Paige of lying on the show when it benefited her.
"You never spoke up and spoke the truth! I didn't dog you out! We were hanging and chilling at your crib laughing at the season after the season ended! So it was crazy to see stuff like that!" he vented.
During the reunion special, Paige announced she and Chris had briefly reconciled and tried to make things work after announcing their decision to divorce on "Decision Day." But the romance apparently fizzled out quickly.
Chris went on to say in his Instagram-Stories rant that it was upsetting when Paige had spoken badly about him at the reunion special.
"You blew my phone off of the hook. You called me a million times from your phone and another million times from Virginia's phone," he claimed.
Chris said when he didn't show up for Day 2 of filming the Season 12 reunion special, producers filmed the Married at First Sight: Where Are They Now? special a few days later and it was "ironic" Paige proudly told a friend she had changed her phone number.

"I wasn't calling you. I have my phone records with you... I was upset because we agreed to be on the same page at the reunion. We rehearsed and went over what we would and wouldn't talk about... [And] you never warned me [about Pastor Dwight]," Chris explained.
Chris also claimed Dwight actually introduced Paige to Styles, the man whom Paige was shown going on a date with on the Where Are They Now? special that aired last month on Lifetime.
"They made you look desperate and thirsty and you and I both know you aren't that. You are a smart, intelligent Black woman. But you did whatever the producers wanted and it was not a good look for you," Chris wrote.
"You were not filming so you could see things through in your marriage. You wanted that check."
Chris continued, "Why do y'all think after the experts allegedly gave her an out to the marriage she kept filming? It was because of our agreement."
"But Lord knows if I would have known that you were lying on TV saying I wanted to work stuff out, making me look like an emotional abuser, I would have went TF off on all parties involved because that's not right!! Zero integrity!" he complained.
Chris said the only way he'll "drop receipts" for his allegations is if Paige comes out and says he's lying.
"Then I am going to release a bunch of sh-t. So until then, I'm chilling! If I ever say something, I can prove it!" he noted.
Chris also unloaded on the pair's Married at First Sight twelfth-season co-stars Virginia Coombs and Erik Lake, calling them liars about their divorce as well, during his Tuesday-night rant on Instagram Stories.
Chris concluded his series of postings by saying he is playing a game of Chess and just waiting for an opponent to make his or her next move.
Paige has to respond to Chris' shocking allegations on social media or in the press.
