Married at First Sight star Danielle Bergman is firing back at viewers who have been critical of her spending habits.

Danielle, a 30-year-old account executive, and her husband Bobby Dodd, a 27-year-old project manager, seem to have the perfect marriage on television, except for their differing views on finances.

"Thank you for yall's concern but we are doing just fine," Danielle recently insisted in an Instagram Story.
Back on Married at First Sight's seventh season, Danielle revealed she was about $15,000 in credit card debt and splurged on monthly "necessities" such as eyelash extensions.

And on Lifetime's Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After spinoff currently airing on Tuesday nights, Danielle said she'd be willing to pay more than $1,000 to clean her dog Henry's teeth -- a proposal Bobby quickly rejected -- and insisted they must move into a bigger, more costly home.
While budget-conscious Bobby occasionally pushes back on his pregnant wife's demands, some fans have urged him to put his foot down more, and Danielle has taken some heat for not putting her family first.
Danielle therefore took to Instagram to ensure Married at First Sight fans that she is not wasteful or irresponsible when it comes to handling the couple's money.
"My credit score is nearly 800," Danielle wrote in an Instagram Story text posting, before adding, "My debt is from an unexpected surgery. Not mismanaging money."
Danielle concluded, "It's taken me 9 months to pay off with my own money. Not my husband's."

Danielle has made it known on Married at First Sight it's very impotant to her to be independent and make her own money. In fact, a point of contention in the beginning of her marriage to Bobby was her refusal to be a stay-at-home mom.
However, now that Danielle and Bobby are expecting their first child together -- a baby girl -- Danielle is open to the possibility she may change her mind about working once the baby comes.
Danielle staying at home with the baby would also be Bobby's preference.
"Best case scenario, Danielle wants to be a stay-at-home mom," Bobby told Married at First Sight: Unfiltered host Jamie Otis during an October appearance on the Married at First Sight talk show.

"I think it could be healthy for the kid, but ultimately, whatever Danielle is happy with being, whatever is best for our family, and for Danielle and I and our child, is what it's going to be."
"Danielle is a really hard worker. She's got a great career -- has had one for a really long time. And if she chooses to pursue that, then more power to her," Bobby explained.
"I'm not somebody who is just going to make her stay home with the kids. I mean, that's not what kind of life [I want]."

Jamie then asked Bobby, "But is that your preference? Because you did say on the honeymoon that that is your preference."

"I did say, 'In a perfect world, if I had it my way, you would be a stay-at-home mom.' Sure. But I do realize in today's day and age that it's not often that that happens," reasoned Bobby, a project manager.
"A lot of women have careers and a lot of women have more wealthy careers than men these days. Danielle makes more money than I do, and I'm not shy to say that. So when she sacrifices her job when we have kids, when that day comes -- if she does -- we'll be taking a pay cut."
