Married at First Sight star Dave Flaherty is apparently having regrets about revealing his physical type to his wife, Amber Martorana, given she doesn't fit the description.

"Why even tell Amber what your typical type is if she's not 100 percent that?" Jamie asked the Season 7 Married at First Sight participant.

As fans probably recall, Dave informed Amber that he has a thing for tall brunettes, while Amber is a blonde on the shorter side. Dave also told his wife that his celebrity crush is actress Jessica Biel, whom Amber does not resemble at all.
"I sort of thought this was all going to come out eventually anyways. None of this is a secret, right? So I would rather just be honest," Dave explained.
Dave and Amber said, "I do," after meeting each other -- and seeing each other -- for the first time at the altar. While Dave and Amber have been shown getting along well, there have been some bumps in the road and they usually entail Amber's insecurities.
Not only does Amber fear she will not be a great wife, but she also worries she is not good enough for Dave and she's not his ideal woman in terms of looks.
"In hindsight, I would have handled the situation a little differently," Dave said with an awkward laugh. "I mean, I've just been very honest about everything. So I think at times, being a little less forthcoming with certain things would've been okay."

Dave added, "It's like, I can't change what I wrote down on a piece of paper, but I am sitting here telling you today that I am attracted to you and I do have feelings for you. But at the time, she didn't hear me saying that; she only felt insecure in our relationship."
On Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Dr. Jessica Griffin explained the experts do take physical preferences into consideration "very strongly" when trying to determine a match, but "unless it's a dealbreaker," they "may not always find" one's perfect type.
Jessica then disclosed Amber had actually submitted various photos of herself with different shades of hair color in the casting process.

Amber's platinum-blonde hair is apparently a new look for the 36-year-old division order analyst, as Jessica chose her for the season using pictures that featured her hair as a dark-brown shade.
"But obviously it wasn't a dealbreaker," Dave insisted. "So she was making a bigger deal out of it than it was to me."

Amber was previously shown on Married at First Sight expressing concern Dave was disappointed when he saw her for the first time on their wedding day. Amber feared she was not what Dave had in mind.
However, Dave was shown venting to cameras how a fight over physical appearance was "ridiculous" considering he was "absolutely sexually attracted" to his spouse. (Amber also admitted Dave was flirtatious and made her feel desired).
When asked whether Amber's insecurity about this topic caught Dave by surprise, he confessed to Jamie, "Yeah, it really did."
"Because I think Amber is such a confident person in general," Dave continued. "So this being as big of a deal as it was, was very surprising to me."
