While Domynique and Mackinley hit it off on their wedding day, the marriage road got bumpy during the couple's honeymoon because Mackinley constantly cracked jokes and Domynique didn't seem to understand or appreciate his sense of humor.
During the February 8 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, Domynique watched back a Season 16 clip of herself FaceTiming with her mother during her honeymoon in Jamaica and venting about how Mackinley wasn't up for adventures or new activities.
"He is trying but there's always a disclaimer," Domynique told Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam.
"[He'd say], like, 'Well this isn't something I normally do, but since you're here and we're together, I guess I'll try it.'"
Domynique said that Mackinley would act like she was pressuring him to do things, which bothered her since she's a "glass half full" person with a positive attitude.
"He's just kind of being that downward force when I'm just trying to [keep] momentum [going] forward," Domynique said, adding how that behavior was a red flag to her.
"I would say complaining, to me, is definitely a huge turnoff," she noted.
Mackinley, for instance, complained about horseback riding on the beach, which Domynique had been very excited to do. During their horseback journey through the ocean water, Mackinley pointed out how his horse pooped in the path and no one would find that enjoyable.

Mackinley eventually apologized to his wife for taking his joking too far and coming across negative, and he insisted that he appreciated Domynique's effort to pull him out of his comfort zone.

"I came into the process really wanting to accept someone 100 percent as they are -- the good, bad and ugly. So that's a lot of pressure," Domynique said.
Keshia acknowledged how accepting the "good, bad and ugly" would mean accepting this unattractive side of Mackinley.
"Yes, that's definitely part of it. I can see that. For me, if we did something and then he told me after the fact he didn't want to do it but he did it and he had fun, that's different," Domynique reasoned.
"Because then he's putting in the effort on the forefront and then filling me in on the back vs. kind of bringing down the energy first."
Domynique's co-stars Clint Webb and Airris Williams joined her on Afterparty, and Clint voiced how he thought Mackinley was "a chill dude" who simply knew his lane or limits. And Airris agreed that he didn't notice Mackinley was "a complainer."
"I could see how that would be draining to you," Airris told Domynique. "But maybe he could grow to enjoy some of the same things you enjoy. You don't like to golf but maybe if you go golfing with him, you might get into it!"
Domynique then confirmed that she was "attracted to Mack physically" -- but something else was missing.
"It's the emotional connection at this point that's kind of bringing the whole thing down," Domynique revealed, adding how she and Mackinley had just pecked, held hands and cuddled up to this point in their honeymoon.

Domynique thought her husband was sweet and thoughtful when they first met, however, she previously admitted on Afterparty that Mackinley is not the man she'd "typically go for" in the dating scene.
"Typically I like tall, dark-haired [guys] with beards and a nice smile," Domynique said.
Mackinley, on the other hand, thought his bride was "gorgeous," and he was optimistic the couple would fall in love, have "a bunch of babies" together and "live happily ever after."
But on Day 6 of marriage, Domynique rated her attraction to Mackinley a 6.5 on a scale from 1-10. She also rated their romance a measly three or four, saying that Mackinley's "constant joking" was bothersome and hurt his rating.
"I'm not a 24/7 sh-t talking kind of girl. I say what I mean, and I mean what I say," Domynique said in a confessional.
Domynique gave Mackinley "a pass" once he apologized, but she demanded he "do better" and "stop making excuses" for his negative attitude.
Based on recent Married at First Sight previews of what's to come, Domynique and Mackinley's relationship is going to crash and burn.
"I was one hundred percent blindsided," Mackinley tells his friends in tears. "I was not whom she was looking for."
Domynique is then shown walking down the hallway of her apartment complex with a big box of her things and tears in her eyes.
