Married at First Sight star Domynique Kloss has revealed the final straw that made her want a divorce from Mackinley Gilbert less than two weeks into their marriage.

"It was the fact that Mack could not speak up for himself and say to [Pastor Calvin Roberson] all the things that he had said to me," Domynique, 25, told Married at First Sight: Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam on Wednesday night's episode of the talk show.
"And so in that instance, I felt like I was asking for a divorce, not only on my behalf but also on [Mackinley]'s behalf."

She elaborated, "Maybe he didn't say, 'I want a divorce,' but he had been insinuating that this is not what he wanted to me."

Domynique and Mackinley, 34, hit it off on their wedding day, but their relationship started going downhill during the honeymoon and then Domynique determined that she didn't want to move in with her husband in Nashville.
On Afterparty, Domynique watched back a Season 16 clip of her tense sitdown conversation with Mackinley and Pastor Cal on Day 12 of marriage.
"I feel like we would be making a very quick decision to say, 'Yeah, this is it,'" Mackinley says in the footage.
Pastor Cal then asks Domynique for her perspective, and she replies, "Honestly, I'm just kind of over it."
"What does that mean, 'I'm over it?'" Pastor Cal asks. "[Are you] over this conversation or.. over the marriage? I need to know what you want right now, Domynique."

Domynique concludes, "I would like a divorce."
Domynique got "a little emotional" watching back that breakup scene with Keshia and MAFS co-stars Nicole Lilienthal and Jasmine Secrest.
"That was one of the toughest decisions I've had to make," Domynique explained in tears. "I know that the marriage didn't last that long, but I came into this process with such high hopes."
Domynique clarified, "Clearly you could see I did not want to say the word 'divorce.' That word is so heavy, and when Pastor Cal takes his glasses off and he looks at you, [you know he means business]."

Domynique recalled how Pastor Cal repeatedly asked her what "over it" meant and she just had to be honest with him.
"I had to say what was truly on my heart and what was in my gut," Domynique noted.
Keshia asked why the word "divorce" was such a hard pill for Domynique to swallow, and she shared, "For the rest of our lives, interacting with new people, we'll have to say, 'I'm divorced.'"
"To say that you once had a legally-binding marriage -- and in the eyes of God, to be married -- and to say that that's no longer, that is so heavy," she added.
Jasmine admitted she was "shocked" to find out Mackinley and Domynique were divorcing "so soon."

"On our honeymoon, they were all over each other," Jasmine revealed. "So for me, I thought everything was on the up and up. And Dom did express some concerns, but I felt like we all had our own concerns. So I wasn't expecting it."
Nicole said while she "agreed with the reasoning" for Domynique wanting a divorce, she wished Domynique "had given it a little more time" with Mackinley.
"I don't know that that would've changed anything between you and Mack, but just based on what I'm experiencing through this, I'm learning a lot about myself and I wish you were able to have that experience the same way," Nicole shared.
When Domynique told Mackinley that she wanted a divorce on Married at First Sight's latest episode, Mackinley noted that it was "tough to hear" and he felt "let down" and "embarrassed."

And Pastor Cal suggested that Domynique wasn't ready to get married at age 25.
Pastor Cal insisted that he wasn't trying to be mean but a person who is ready for marriage is prepared to fight for it and not quit -- which he said takes time, patience, strength and grit.
"What you're doing is choosing to quit after the first real bump," Pastor Cal said.
Even Domynique's mother Toya didn't think Domynique had given Mackinley enough time to change, better himself, or prove that he could be a great husband.
But Domynique felt she had been as patient as possible, and she said she wanted to end the negative relationship before it became very "toxic."
When the sparring spouses gathered with their fellow cast members, Domynique suggested the split was mutual, but Mackinley claimed he was "100 percent blindsided" by Domynique's request for a divorce and she had no desire to compromise at all.

Clint accused Domynique of taking "the easy way out," and Nicole scolded Domynique for making a rash decision.
"Domynique, I really like you and I care about you a lot," Nicole said. "I really like you two as a couple, and I say this out of love -- but. [Domynique], you are going to regret this. You will regret not even trying."
When asked if there was any hope for reconciliation, Domynique replied, "Maybe," but she later confirmed with Mackinley that she had just said "maybe" out of peer pressure and didn't mean it.
"[That's] a young woman's game, and that's what Dom plays," Mackinley vented to the cameras.
Domynique then told Mackinley they could be friends, but Mackinley snapped that he didn't need another friend in his life. Mackinley didn't think Domynique was ready for a real relationship.
Mackinley said while he and Domynique weren't a perfect match, he had been prepared to give their marriage time and effort -- which were two things he didn't receive from Domynique.
