Married at First Sight star Elizabeth Bice says bringing Jamie Thompson to the former site of her childhood home was a pivotal moment in their relationship and her humble upbringing is why her husband's prior "materialistic" comment bothered her so much.

Elizabeth revealed she lived in a trailer with her parents when she was younger, and she got very emotional when seeing a "pile of debris" is all that remained where her "disposable" home used to be.
When recalling how it felt to drive back to the place where she grew up, Elizabeth said on Unfiltered, "It was bad."
"I hadn't been back there since I literally had left that place. I mean, I lived in a trailer and my house was literally rubble," Elizabeth elaborated.
"Going back there and seeing all of it, I'm glad I did because I didn't realize those emotions were bottled up inside of me, and I'm glad I just got this all off my chest and I don't have to hide this from Jamie."
Prior to taking a trip down memory lane, Elizabeth had gotten into a huge argument with Jamie in which he had called her "a materialistic c-nt."
Jamie sparked an argument when he and Elizabeth were looking through an album of their wedding photos together on their one-month anniversary and Elizabeth commented on her hair and her dress instead of meeting Jamie or their union.
"I think when he called me materialistic, it was the fact he called me materialistic and he had no idea of where I came from," Elizabeth explained on why that comment rubbed her the wrong way other than the obvious derogatory term that had been used.

Elizabeth was then asked to describe what it felt like to have that moment with her husband and allow Jamie too see her so open and vulnerable.
"It was a very big pivoting point for Jamie and I. We definitely grew and I think it was most important Jamie learned that about me," shared Elizabeth, who tended to be guarded throughout Married at First Sight's extreme eight-week experiment.

Married at First Sight expert, Pastor Calvin Roberson, then noted on Unfiltered, "That's awesome."
Elizabeth's Married at First Sight co-star Amber Bowles also made an appearance on the Unfiltered broadcast and offered her perspective on Elizabeth letting her walls down for Jamie in that moment.
"I think it's about time!" Amber joked.
"No, I'm just kidding. But no, Beth is seriously, like, one of the toughest people I know, so it's just really cool to see, like, a vulnerable side."
"She's soft!" Elizabeth chimed in, speaking about herself. "She's in there!"
Elizabeth and Jamie hit it off right from the get-go on the show's ninth season, which is currently airing Wednesday nights on Lifetime, but they've had some extremely volatile fights.
Not only has Jamie left his shared apartment with Elizabeth for several days on end, but the couple often brings drama to gatherings with friends and their co-stars.
However, Elizabeth and Jamie claim they love each other and truly want to be together long-term. After every fight, they make up and attempt to move on from their mistakes or issues.
