Married at First Sight star Gina Micheletti has explained why she blindsided Clint Webb with complaints about his personality that seemed to come out of left field just a few days before "Decision Day."

On Married at First Sight's sixteenth season, Gina and Clint had a sitdown chat with show experts, Pastor Calvin Roberson and Dr. Pepper Schwartz, a few days before Decision Day.

Gina admitted how a lack of chemistry was the problem in her marriage and being partnered with Clint for the extreme experiment was a mismatch.
During the show's Afterparty talk show on May 3, Gina watched back a Season 16 clip of her telling the experts about how Clint is "outrageous, wild and fun" as well as "the life of the party."

"Everyone is consistently laughing and he brings this energy that's... a bizarre energy I've grown to love it about him," Gina continues. "But at first, the crass sense of humor [caused] almost a feeling of secondhand embarrassment."
Clint then vents in a confessional, "How did this just come up?! Very interesting."
Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam therefore asked Gina why she had never expressed those concerns or annoyances to Clint before.
"I think it was a culmination of me really trying to process 'what is it?' in my head that's not working," Gina explained.
"And we're at this point for probably the last week of really me taking, I know personally, the introspective work to figure it out, like, 'What is it that's really bothering me?' And once I did, I think I just -- it all came out."

Gina insisted it was "a process" for her, but Keshia pointed out how Clint looked a little stunned, like a deer in headlights, hearing what Gina had to say.
"I mean, I don't know how Clint doesn't know that he is that way. He's the life of the party, he's the funny guy, he's the crazy and bizarre one. And he talks about that," Gina reasoned.
"He'll tell you, 'I live on Front Street, and I do this and that.' And so, it's starting to feel like, 'That's cool as a fun friend,' but it wasn't really feeling like a marriage."

Keshia said Gina had taken issue with who Clint inherently is, and that's why Gina said Clint took it "offensively."

"I always said, like going into this process, I said, 'I want someone who can make me laugh and is the life of the party,' and all of that," Gina shared.
"And I'm learning, like, 'Okay, maybe I do need someone a little more reserved,' like, I always thought I was the loud one."
In response to trolls and haters accusing Gina of having withheld her true feelings from Clint the entire time, Gina said, "I think we have to realize that this process is legitimately eight weeks long. It's not like we've been together for three years and all of a sudden I'm like, 'This is what I don't like about your personality,' or, 'This isn't what's aligning with mine.'"
"I think I'm just processing through what it really is that's there," she added, "and I'm learning about the things that aren't there for me, personally."
Married at First Sight star Airris Williams -- who married Jasmine Secrest on MAFS16, joined Gina on Afterparty and claimed that everybody loved Clint for the reasons Gina has said she didn't like him as more than a friend.

"Clint is going places. He's the life of the party and he always turns up," Airris said.
"He'll dance even though he can't dance. So that's who he is, and in his mind, he's heard from all of us, 'Clint, you're great because of A, B and C.' And then hearing Gina say, 'I don't like A, B, and C,' coming from her, his wife, it hits different."

Airris claimed he never really witnessed Gina cringing in the background during group gatherings.
"When Clint is in the zone, all of the attention is on him. I don't even know what Gina's doing, but she's probably like, 'Oh my gosh!' Some of us are like, 'Go Clint, go Clint!' And she's probably like, 'No Clint, no Clint,'" Airris said.
"Bring it back Clint!" Gina joked.
Gina acknowledged how she and Clint "are perfect on paper" -- including how they're both logical thinkers -- but they were both missing a spark and physical intimacy.
Gina ultimately concluded of her husband, "I don't really think Clint is attracted to me either."
Gina and Clint began sleeping in separate beds after their honeymoon in Jamaica, and they never even kissed throughout the experiment.
But the spouses maintained a positive and optimistic attitude, thinking maybe chemistry would develop organically over time. The pair never gave up and had hope their friendship could become something more with an emotional attachment.
Clint, however, claimed on a previous episode of Afterparty that Gina didn't act like a wife at all throughout the experiment and she was a totally different person off-camera. He alleged that Gina gave him mixed signals and really confused him.

With Decision Day right around the corner, it appears there's not much hope for Gina and Clint's relationship.
Married at First Sight's sixteenth season also stars Airris and Jasmine, Nicole Lilienthal and Chris Thielk, and Kirsten Grimes and Shaquille Dillon.
Mackinley Gilbert and Domyinique Kloss got a divorce only 12 days into the process, and Mackinley has since voiced interest in potentially dating Gina.
Gina shared whether she'd be open to giving Mackinley a chance during her Afterparty appearance.
