Married at First Sight star Haley Harris has explained what exactly happened on her "girls' night" outing in Las Vegas that angered her husband Jacob Harder and resulted in him accusing her of lying.

During Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Haley and her MAFS co-stars Erik Lake and Ryan Oubre watched back a Season 12 clip of Jacob packing his bags at the end of the couple's Las Vegas honeymoon.

"Last night Haley mentioned this whole thing about a girls' night. I told her straight up, like, 'Hey, enjoy yourself. Have fun. Great. Go.' So then I go downstairs [to the lobby] to grab something to eat and I see all of the husbands with their wives and Haley," Jacob says in the clip.
"And as soon as I turn the corner, they bolted. And the truth of it is she did not want me there -- and she did not tell me that she did not want me there. It's just kind of unacceptable to me, to be honest."

Unfiltered host Jamie Otis, who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight, admitted that she kind of "felt bad" for Jacob in that situation.
"Haley, walk us through what happened with this whole girls' night situation," Jamie requested.
"It was supposed to be a girls' night, so I went down to Erik and Virginia's room to get [Virginia Coombs] and Erik wanted to go down with us, right?" Haley began.
"And then [Clara Berghaus] was coming down. [Ryan] was supposed to go betting or whatever but sees Erik -- and it genuinely started as a girls' night, and it just turned into [the two guys] tagging along."
Haley joked that Erik and Ryan were "in for the girl talk, too" and so "it was fine."

"But yeah, it was nothing that was intentional. But I genuinely did need a break [from Jacob]," Haley insisted.
Jamie then asked, "So you didn't see him and bolt in the other direction to avoid him?"
"Absolutely not. That's not something that I would ever do," Haley said.

Ryan and Erik actually joined Haley on Unfiltered and offered their take on Jacob's reaction to Haley, who clearly suggested it was all a misunderstanding.

"We've known each other for roughly four days at that point now, so the communication styles and what's okay -- to go do this and stuff like that -- it's very easy to cross those wires and offend somebody," Ryan explained.
"So I think making sure to just address it right then and there is probably the most important thing and probably, I don't know, the advice I would give to Jacob for sure."
Given the couples' honeymoons ended shortly after the Jacob incident, Haley and Jacob's connection had been damaged and so their dynamic was quite different from what Erik and Ryan had going on with their wives, Virginia and Clara, respectively.
"I'm feeling hopeful," Erik said of his marriage. "We just get along so well and we're feeling attracted to each other and we have a connection. Those are good things to build on."
But Haley acknowledged she and Jacob had "some ups and downs on the honeymoon."

"I'm hopeful that if we communicate and get on the same page, hopefully this could be okay. But we'll see what happens!" Haley said.
As for Ryan and Clara, Ryan shared, "Some of it I've been very appreciative of with the honeymoon is we came out of the other side very strong."

"It's created this bond I probably couldn't foresee or think about prior to this. We are able to connect and truly know that we have each other's back and that we're here for each other."
"Seven days is like seven months," Haley pointed out.
"Yeah," Ryan agreed, before joking, "So we celebrated our seven-month anniversary on the flight home."
On Wednesday night's Season 12 episode of Married at First Sight, it took time for Haley and Jacob to work through their disagreement, mainly because Jacob also apparently accused Haley of having a boyfriend back home.
Haley noted it was "insulting" and "ridiculous" for Jacob to even think of that considering she had agreed to marry a stranger on television, and so she refused to even sit with him on the flight back to Atlanta, GA.
"I've never felt energy just completely cut off. Just tell me you need a break. You didn't say that. You said, 'It's a girls night,' and then it wasn't a girls night," Jacob told Haley.
"The cordial thing to do would be to say, 'Hey we're hanging out; you want to come down?' And then you didn't. Those little white lies add up and I had that situation in my past, so when you did that, it messed with me pretty good and I lost trust."
Not only did Jacob accuse Haley of being a liar, but he also called her "high-strung" and said, "You have anxiety."

The couple slept in separate beds that night but Jacob ultimately apologized to his wife for how he had treated her. Haley therefore admitted she felt "drained" but there was a chance "for something positive to come out of this."
