Married at First Sight star Jamie Otis is still looking for her father, but she is apparently closer than ever to finding him.

The 32-year-old host of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered and former The Bachelor contestant shared with fans that she's been searching for her father all of her life.
"I always wondered if maybe he was my father. I have no idea who this man is. My sister and I are sitting on his lap so he must've been close to us at some point, right?? I thought he and I looked a little bit alike. I HOPED we looked alike," Jamie captioned the photo.
"If you look closely at the pic we do resemble each other a little. I mean, we both have dark hair so there's that!... I went to my mom AGAIN asking if maybe there's a chance HE could be my father. But my mom reassured me that he's one of the men I had a DNA test with and it was a negative result."
Jamie admitted she has been "desperate" to find the man with whom she shares DNA -- the man she might be able to call "Dad" one day.
"The things that go through my mind are thoughts like, 'He's gotta be out there, right?! Does he have any idea that he has a daughter who is desperate to know him? Would he want to know me too?'...Then I'd think, 'Who am I kidding?! He probably has no idea he has a daughter at all!'"
Jamie laced her Instagram posts with emoticons of crying and confused faces. The situation clearly weighs heavily upon her and leaves her feeling distressed.

"I've spent 32 years searching. 4 paternity tests that all resulted in negative matches. I almost gave up hope. My mom couldn't remember anything but a man with dark hair at a party. I didn't even have a name to search for. I had nothing but dark hair," Jamie disclosed.
"I recently bought two DNA tests from two different companies in hopes that one may come back with a result linking me to my father. I CANT EVEN BELIEVE THIS, BUT I THINK I FOUND MY FATHER!!!"
Jamie explained, "One of the tests had a 'close family' match. Their confidence level: 'extremely high.'"

While Jamie was absolutely ecstatic to have a match returned, she noted her DNA links her with a woman, so she believes the match might be her father's sister.
"This match definitely isn't my father... I'm not certain, but tonight I talked with this woman -- who may be my aunt -- from my father's side. I never, ever thought I would get the chance to say those words," Jamie wrote.
"Please, please pray and send alll the good vibes out into the universe. I've never, ever been more hopeful."

Jamie has been open about the hardships and challenges -- both financial and emotional -- she faced in her childhood throughout her time on reality television.
Fans are well aware Jamie gained custody of her younger siblings when she was just a freshman in college.
Jamie had to work through a lot of personal issues connected with her past when she married Doug Hehner on the debut season of Married at First Sight in 2014, but they are still together and happy.
