Married at First Sight star Jasmina has revealed that her family actually hated the wedding dress she had selected for her big day.

Jasmina, 29, and Michael, 28, were matched for matrimony by Married at First Sight experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Viviana Coles and Pastor Calvin Roberson.

During last week's episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, Jasmina watched back a Season 14 clip of herself sitting in her hotel room minutes before she was set to walk down the aisle and meet her stranger groom.

"I think I'm about to throw up," Jasmina laments in the footage. "I just, like, have a knot in my throat. I'm so nervous; I'm so scared -- literally every single emotion just hit me at once."

Jasmina said she had been feeling "good" and calm in the days leading up to her wedding day, only to essentially crash and burn shortly before walking down the aisle.

"As soon as I put the dress on, that's when it, like, felt real. It was an emotional day," Jasmina said.

Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam complimented Jasmina for looking beautiful -- even when she cried -- but Jasmina acknowledged she had come "real close" to being a runaway bride.

"Having to wait and wait and wait [for the wedding ceremony] just made it even worse, and I was just like, 'I'm out of here!'" Jasmina recalled.

But Jasmina said once she finally saw Michael at the other end of the aisle, she was "fine."

"I was definitely emotional still walking down the aisle, but it had nothing to do with [Michael]," Jasmina revealed.

"I was overhearing his sisters say, 'Oh my God, she's so pretty! Nice dress!' And it took a lot for me to pick that dress because my family hated it."

Jasmina said her family didn't think the dress fit her personality or look.

"They just said it wasn't me," Jasmina recalled. "So I was like, 'What if his family hates this dress?! And that was the first thing that they said. So I just started crying!"

"But I was fine once I saw him," Jasmina explained, "and I could also see he was kind of feeling the same emotions as I was."

Jasmina said her initial reaction to seeing Michael was, "He's cute!" She also thought he was "bold" for picking a color for his tuxedo.

Going into her wedding day, Jasmina hoped to be matched with a man who was tired of playing games in relationships and wanted to be married for the right reasons.

"I hope with this marriage, we're communicating and talking things out and being honest with our feelings, like adults," Jasmina shared with the cameras.

"In my past relationships, I felt like a test dummy. I'm just tired of being that person that gets men ready for their next relationship -- the person men have to go through in order to get it right."

When Michael saw his wife for the first time, he called her "drop-dead gorgeous" and "perfect," like "Black-Barbie beautiful."

In their self-written vows, Jasmina promised to make Michael feel wanted, valued and heard, and she vowed to remember he's human -- just like she is -- and they're "in this together" for the rest of their lives.

Michael said he's always wanted to be married and he anticipated they would overcome battles together. He promised to be supportive, vulnerable, humble, and reveal himself in all aspects -- the good, the bad and the ugly -- as well as appreciate Jasmina in all her forms.

Jasmina said after the ceremony she felt "a little spark" with her husband, but there was clearly a lot of room to grow in that area.

"It's not like [an explosion]," Jasmina noted.

"Right now, I feel like it's real little because we're still getting to know each other and we haven't had that much time to talk. We'll see how it goes."

In addition to Jasmina and Michael, the other Season 14 Married at First Sight couples are Katina and Olajuwon, Lindsey and Mark, Noi and Steve, and Alyssa and Chris.

Alyssa and Chris' wedding has yet to air on the Lifetime series that currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT.
