Married at First Sight star Johnny has revealed the straw that broke the camel's back and made him want to sleep away from Bao for two nights after moving in together.

Johnny and Bao had their fair share of ups and downs during their honeymoon in the Florida Keys, but most of their issues presented themselves when Johnny complained about Bao's actions or habits.

Johnny repeatedly said he wanted to run from Bao and end their relationship due to their differences and marriage was the only thing keeping them together.

After Johnny and Bao returned to Houston, TX, and moved into a neutral apartment provided by Married at First Sight production, Johnny suddenly and unexpectedly decided to spend the first two nights at his old place.

On Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Johnny watched back a Season 13 clip of him breaking the news to Bao that he wanted to sleep apart and spend some "necessary" time away from his new wife.

"The honeymoon was really fun and exciting, but it was also draining," Johnny admits to Bao in the clip.

Johnny and Bao had argued during their honeymoon about Bao focusing too much on the past and not living in the moment as well as Bao's infrequent showering habits and how she'd like to jump into bed after exercising without rinsing off first.

"I hope you aren't setting a precedent that whenever you feel like it's too much, you're just going to step away and just walk out of our home that we created," Bao says in reply.

After watching the footage back, Johnny said he remembered just needing to "reset" in his relationship.

"What was the straw that broke the camel's back and made you decide that you were absolutely going to go home?" asked Unfiltered host Jamie Otis, who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight and is still married to her match, Doug Hehner.

Johnny replied, "We had an argument outside of our apartment. As we're walking up to the door, she starts getting, like, giddy."

"She's got her hands [all folded up] and she's bouncing around, going, 'Eeee!'" he explained.

"It was kind of cartoonish and childish, and I said that to her. And she took offense to it. And then I was just like, 'I can't be around here right now.'"

Johnny recalled Bao acting "bouncy," like someone had just given a kid "a popsicle."

While Johnny confirmed he was physically attracted to Bao -- that "she's cute" and has "the right shape" and "a cute smile" -- he said her "personality" was the problem.

"If I was attracted to it, I'd be like, 'Oh, I'm going to bounce off the walls too! And we can both do that.' Because she had done that all throughout the honeymoon, and I didn't say anything back then," Johnny explained.

Johnny said he just needed to say how he felt, but Jamie acknowledged it made sense for Bao to get upset because she was just being her happy-go-lucky self.

Johnny, however, insisted Bao's joy does not "disgust" him, as Bao had suggested on the show.

"I wouldn't say I'm disgusted. It just doesn't -- if we're trying to ramp up intimacy and that's the reaction she gets, I'm just reminded of a child," Johnny admitted. "And I can't get into it."

On Johnny spending the night alone, Johnny's Married at First Sight co-star Zack could see both sides.

"After hearing him explain it, I understand why he did it. Maybe to do it the first night you move in may not have been the best option, but I appreciate it," noted Zack, who is married to Michaela on the series.

"It seems like you guys have a lot of arguments, and so I can see why you'd want some time to yourself. So I understand it."

Bao and Johnny then met with Married at First Sight expert Pastor Calvin Roberson for a discussion about their relationship one week in.

Bao admitted that Johnny made her feel rejected and unattractive at times, but Pastor Cal begged Bao to continue being herself and not get stuck inside her head.

Pastor Cal told Bao that there's nothing wrong with the way she expresses joy and this was actually Johnny's problem to deal with and conquer.

Pastor Cal reminded Johnny how Bao is a grown woman in every sense, and he predicted that both individuals could grow intense and deep feelings for one another as long as they don't let the relationship fail before then.

Married at First Sight's thirteenth season, which currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime, also stars Myrla Feria and Gil Cuero, Brett and Ryan, and Rachel and Jose.
