The footage showed Kate saying it was "worst case scenario" that Luke was not attracted to her and "one of [her] fears" going into the extreme experiment.
"I'm just trying to figure out how we can move forward after this," Kate, 27, said in the video clip.
Jamie then asked Kate on Unfiltered to dive into the details of that conversation, which was not filmed and therefore never aired on Season 8 of the show.
"One night on the honeymoon, we just had a talk and I was like, 'I've just noticed, like, I feel like something is off. I feel like I'm not your type.' And he was like, 'Yeah, I'm sorry.' He felt really bad," Kate revealed of the man she had married at first sight.
"He actually started crying because he felt so bad... I just felt so thrown off. I didn't expect it at all."
Rather than getting down on herself, however, Kate apparently interpreted Luke's tears as a sign he cared and was still invested in their relationship.
"I think because he was so upset, it was kind of like, okay, well, he's obviously upset about this too and so he's still in this -- I guess?" Kate reasoned.

Kate was joined by her Married at First Sight co-star Kristine Killingsworth and expert, Pastor Calvin Roberson, on the Unfiltered broadcast.
"I give you so much applause and kudos for just taking that in and processing it and saying, 'You know what? Let's give it time,'" Pastor Cal told Kate.

"And so, you did an incredible job! I want to tell you that. You did an incredible job of just allowing that to not break you."
Pastor Cal speculates Luke cried to be "a little manipulative"
Pastor Cal then proceeded to slam Luke, 30, for telling Kate he wasn't attracted to her and then trying to make the situation about himself."What irks me is that [Luke] told you that and then because he was emotional about it, you didn't have time to process and absorb how that affected you because you were concerned about him crying," Pastor Cal explained.
"I wonder if that's not also sort of his way of softening the blow. It seems a little manipulative."
Jamie subsequently asked Kate how she felt in her relationship with Luke at that point and whether she was still holding out hope for a happy marriage and future.
"I still believe that love can grow, even if you're not initially attracted to someone," Kate insisted, before pointing at Jamie as a prime example.
"Yeah! Yeah!" Jamie yelled.

"There you have it!" Pastor Cal noted.
"So, yeah, I don't think this is going to be something that we can't continue to try to move forward," Kate said.
"I 100 percent agree," Jamie told Kate.
