Married at First Sight star Keith Manley has revealed his new wife Iris Caldwell wasn't the only one who wasn't ready to consummate their marriage after the first two weeks of the couple's relationship.

"Whoa. You're not ready to have sex with Iris?" Jamie replied.
"Yes," Keith said.
"For real?" Jamie questioned.
"Yes. Yeah," Keith insisted.
"So if she was coming on to you, you would say pump the brakes?" Jamie asked.
"I would have to," Keith said.
"Tell me why?" Jamie queried.
"Because it's kind of setting the foundation of what they expect sex to be going forward," Keith replied, alluding to Iris' decision to abstain from sex before marriage and remain a virgin.
"You know, that's a huge thing for me and I don't take it for granted."
The Unfiltered host then asked Keith's Married at First Sight co-star Jamie Thompson his thoughts on how Keith and Iris should navigate her virginity.

"That's really tough," he replied. "I mean how do you even begin to sort that out?"
"I think for me, I think communication is the first key -- for Keith, you got to ask, 'Iris, do you want to lose your virginity. I know we're married, but are you ready to take that step.' And she's got to be comfortable with that."
The Unfiltered host then asked Keith if he'd ever asked Iris that question, and Keith acknowledged the couple may not even end up ever having sex before "Decision Day," the eight-week mark in which each Married at First Sight Season 9 couple must decide whether they'd like to stay married or get a divorce.
"We talked about expectations, and she let me know it just really depends how fast we get comfortable with each other," Keith said.
"It may take two weeks, three weeks -- it may take longer than the eight weeks we have. But for me, I really just wanted to put my best foot forward and trust the experts to do their thing too."
Earlier in the broadcast, the Married at First Sight: Unfiltered host had also asked Keith specifically how intimate Keith and Iris have gotten.
"Keith, how physical have you two become? Like have you held hands? Have you hugged? Have you kissed?" Jamie asked.

"Yeah, we've done all of that," Keith replied.
"You've made out?" she asked.
"Um, yeah, we've hooked up or made out," he answered.
Confused, Jamie then asked Keith to clarify exactly what he meant by "hooking up."
"Can you explain a little bit more about 'hooking up' with Iris?" she asked.
"Well, we've kissed, and all that good stuff," he replied. "I mean we've held hands, we sleep together, we just haven't -- you know."
In addition to Iris, Keith, and Jamie, Season 9 of Married at First Sight also features Deonna McNeill and Gregory Okotie, Amber Bowles and Matthew Gwynne, and Jamie's wife Elizabeth Bice.
