On Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, Kirsten watched back a Season 16 clip of her first one-on-one conversation with Shaquille after their wedding ceremony in Nashville, TN.
"I never really played sports because of my head, like, the scar," Shaquille tells his wife.

"What happened?" Kirsten asks in the clip.
"So when I was younger, my mom and my siblings were involved in a car accident. We all lived... I was, like, seven [years old]," Shaquille explains.
"So you were born in 1990?" Kirsten asks.
Shaquille proceeds to correct her that he was born in 1991.
Kirsten then vents to the cameras, "He's bald and he's younger than me, so that's two strikes!"

Given Kirsten wasn't physically attracted to her husband and he's one year younger, Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam asked Kirsten what might qualify as a third strike against Shaquille on her list.
"I guess the dealbreaker would be if he had a bad attitude, for one, and whenever -- you know, if we do make it to consummating the marriage -- if he wasn't meeting [my] needs in that area," Kirsten explained.
Kirsten's co-star Nicole Lilienthal had said on Married at First Sight's Season 16 premiere that she'd be willing to teach her husband in the bedroom if absolutely necessary.
But Kirsten confirmed on Afterparty she would not be willing to do the same for her man.
"There's some things you just can't make longer," Kirsten joked, without revealing whether or not Shaquille presented that problem.

Regardless, Nicole advised Kirsten to stick with it because Shaquille seemed like such a nice guy.
"You can see immediately that Shaq is just enamored by her beauty and wants to give his heart to her. So, I'm excited to see what happens. I just hope she can soften up that hard shell and let him in," Nicole said.
"She's wonderful, but it's hard to get in there!" Nicole added.
Kirsten also acknowledged "it's a great thing" that Shaquille was willing to share personal things about his background with her right off the bat.

"He's unpacking a lot, all at one time. We just walked down the aisle, so I'm like, 'He's an open book! He's going to tell me everything,'" Kirsten noted.
Kirsten also said that she felt emotionally connected to her husband, although she lacked an initial attraction to him.
"The moment he started talking to me, I was like, 'He seems like he has a really good heart,'" Kirsten told Keshia.
Married at First Sight experts Pastor Calvin Roberson and Dr. Pepper Schwartz said they matched Kirsten and Shaquille because they're both well-educated, ambitious, religious and would like to have children.
Kirsten shared during the matchmaking process how she tends to be very picky in all aspects of her life, including her dating life.
"I definitely pick over men, too," Kirsten acknowledged.

When Shaquille got a good look at his bride for the first time, he admitted he was "stunned" and told the room full of wedding guests that Kirsten is "beautiful."
Shaquille learned from Kirsten's family and friends that he was marrying the life of the party, a woman with an "intoxicating" energy and confidence as "a Black Queen."
And Kirsten was told Shaquille is "classy" in every way and has had a lot of success in his life.
In her self-written vows, Kirsten confessed she may be "a beauty or a beast" depending on the situation but she'd always show compassion and give him grace. She promised to express her true feelings and give the marriage her all.

Shaquille, in turn, vowed to his "newest best friend" that he'd respect her, and be her strength and joy whenever she's down or feeling weak. Shaquille said he'd keep their spark bright and be "lit" as a couple.
Following the ceremony, Shaquille confirmed that Kirsten was definitely his "type" in that she has brown skin and nice teeth, and he said he actually respected her cheek move during the ceremony because it showed she has boundaries.
"That was a moment in my life where I said, 'Wow, you're different,'" Shaquille told the cameras.
Little did he know, however, Kirsten just wasn't feeling him at the time.
But Kirsten came around to her groom during their first chat, telling the cameras, "He has pretty teeth and his personality definitely outweighs his exterior look."
