Married at First Sight star Luke Cuccurullo was cringing in his seat watching back footage of his wedding night with Kate Sisk during Tuesday night's Unfiltered broadcast.

On Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, hosted by Season 1 MAFS participant Jamie Otis, Luke turned beat red as he watched footage of his wedding night in which there were awkward silences in his conversation with Kate and he offered to sleep on the couch in their hotel suite.

"Jesus, man! I thought everybody would have a similar experience to me, I guess," Luke admitted while sitting next to his Married at First Sight co-stars Jasmine McGriff and Keith Dewar. "Everyone else seemed to hit it off great."

After Luke suggested he could sleep on the couch, however, Kate assured her new husband it would be fine for them to sleep in the same bed together.

"That was rough to watch. I was awkward and I think it made her uncomfortable," Luke said. "It was just a weird situation. [The other couples] just went after it man! I was proud of [them]."

Jamie then asked Luke to explain why his interactions with Kate were so awkward at first because his wife seemed "into" him and even "leaned over for a kiss" at their wedding reception -- a move which Luke had memorably rejected.

"Kate leaned over for a kiss?" Luke asked Jamie.

After Jamie reminded Luke of the moment Kate attempted to kiss him when their wedding guests were tapping their glasses at the reception, Luke vented, "Jesus."

"Kate went 70 [percent of the way], and you went zero," Keith noted.

Jamie said "as an outsider looking in," it seemed Kate was giving Luke "all the hints" she was cool with kissing him but he still refused her.

"I guess I wasn't cool with it then," Luke confessed of the public display of affection. "I don't know [why]. I wasn't feeling it in that moment and I just kind of want to go at my own pace."

Kate and Luke just weren't clicking with each other in the first couple of Married at First Sight episodes for Season 8.

Jamie therefore asked Luke, "How were you feeling about her and your connection with her at this point?"

"I feel like I just kind of wanted to get to know her a little first," Luke explained.

"That was really important to me. The only interaction we had had was being documented and being watched with all of our friends and families' eyes on us. I don't know. I guess I just wanted to take it slower."

Luke then insisted he offered to sleep on the couch at the end of his wedding night because it was the gentlemanly thing to do.

"Were you offering it because you didn't want to sleep in bed with her? Maybe you weren't attracted?" Jamie probed.

"No, no, no. I was uncomfortable with the situation and I was worried she would also be uncomfortable with the situation," Luke replied. "And I knew if we were going to sleep separately, I'd want to give her the bed."

Luke then confessed he was "a little jealous" the other three couples seemed to "click so well" after tying the knot.

"Ours was just so painful to watch," Luke admitted with a nervous laugh. "Oh God that was bad!"

Jasmine married Will Guess on Married at First Sight this season, while Keith wed Kristine Killingsworth. The other couple starring on Season 8 is AJ Vollmoeller and Stephanie Sersen.
