Married at First Sight star Luke Cuccurullo has revealed his offensive and hurtful comments about his first kiss with wife Kate Sisk were actually about when they made love for the first time.

During a Tuesday night appearance on Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Luke watched back Season 8 footage of Kate revealing to Dr. Pepper Schwartz the couple had been physically intimate ever since their honeymoon.

Kate was shown voicing concern to Dr. Pepper about how Luke -- who wanted to keep their sex life a secret -- tended to shut down and get quiet after every sexual encounter.

Recalling their first time together in particular, Kate told Dr. Pepper, "I just kind of thought, 'It's our honeymoon, we're married, I like you so far -- and so I just asked and we did, and then it turned out he didn't want to and seemed unhappy about it. And I just felt terrible."

"I'm shocked by this," Unfiltered host Jamie Otis told Luke. "You and Kate have been having sex since the honeymoon?!"

"Since the honeymoon," Luke confirmed.

"And I didn't want to share that with everyone, but you know, here we are because the truth always comes out eventually. Back then, I was naive and just like, you know, 'Let's hide it.'"

Luke and Kate have discussed in detail on Unfiltered the moment when Luke said he felt "repulsed" and "dead inside" after the pair's first real post-wedding kiss on their honeymoon.

But it turns out, the couple actually had sex that night.

"Yeah that wasn't [about] a kiss obviously now," Luke said with a laugh.

"So you said you felt 'repulsed' and 'dead inside' after having sex with [Kate]?" Jamie, seemingly appalled by Luke's revelation, asked flat out.

"I believe I said I was disgusted with myself," Luke recalled. "But I did feel very, very emotionless inside. It didn't have to do with Kate; I definitely was not ready."

Luke admitted he was "willing to give it a go" as far as sex goes during his honeymoon with Kate in order to make his new wife happy.

"I wasn't ready to have sex on the honeymoon," Luke confessed, "but I wanted to make her happy and kind of cross that bridge."

Luke then got choked up while trying to explain his side of the story to Jamie.

"So I put myself out there and I did not have a normal response. I did not have a healthy response to it. So it was just hard and I didn't know how to handle the situation," Luke said in tears.

Luke also admitted he felt "so alone" on the honeymoon because he was whisked away with a stranger and had no friends or loved ones around to confide in.

"No one is there, and the only person you're with is someone you barely know," Luke noted. "And then there's a bunch of people and you don't know their motives. You just feel really alone."

In addition to Kate and Luke, Married at First Sight's eighth season also stars Jasmine McGriff and Will Guess, Kristine Killingsworth and Keith Dewar, and AJ Vollmoeller and Stephanie Sersen.

The latest episode of the series featured the couples attempting to navigate their relationships and deepen their bonds with less than one week remaining until "Decision Day," when they must decide whether to stay married or get divorced.
