Married at First Sight star Michael Watson is slamming wife Meka Jones for oversharing their relationship problems during their honeymoon, saying it was difficult to see a way forward in their marriage at that point.

"I think for me, if you do more sharing with the people who are not in your marriage, you're setting it up for failure," Michael said during the February 5 broadcast of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered.

On the Unfiltered broadcast, Michael watched back a Season 10 clip of Meka informing the other four couples during a dinner in Panama she felt uncomfortable in her marriage to Michael and had never imagined the process being so hard. (This conversation took place after Michael allegedly gave Meka an off-camera sex ultimatum that upset and offended her).
"You're already married to them, so there's nowhere you can go. There's nothing you can really do, and you're tied to this person," Meka was shown telling the group, with Michael quietly sitting next to her at the table.

"Everything feels forced. It shouldn't be hard for me to feel a connection or want to talk. Those things are hard for me, and so I don't even know the path... I don't know what the right answer is."
As a result, Michael revealed to the other couples in the clip he had taken off his wedding ring and didn't plan on doing so until their marriage was restored and he could live up to Meka's expectations of him as a husband.
"Michael, what is it like talking about such personal things with all of the other couples?" Unfiltered host Jamie Otis asked. "Do you feel Meka is oversharing?"
"Definitely," Michael replied, before making his comment about Meka allegedly setting their marriage up to fail.
"Everything we do is being done for first time as a married couple, and we are not in a good place."

Michael, however, tried to remain positive he could get his relationship with Meka back on track.
"So the goal was that through communication and re-establishing ourselves, we can come back from it," he said.
"But where we were at that time, it was just kind of difficult to see the way forward."
Michael was joined by fellow Season 10 Married at First Sight grooms Zach Justice and Brandon Reid on the Unfiltered episode, and Zach revealed what the vibe was like at that dinner in Panama.

"It seemed pretty tense," Jamie observed.
"Yeah, it definitely felt tense," Zach admitted. "But going back to [Michael]'s point, he has to be very diplomatic when she's explaining their personal struggles to the rest of the table."
"Be careful about how you put that out there," Zach added, "because [Michael] is sitting right there and it's going to make him feel bad and he's not going to communicate."
Brandon also said it was "wild" listening to Meka unload at the dinner table.
"I want everyone to make it through this entire process together, and to hear that my buddy over here, [Michael] and his wife are having issues, it sucks to hear," Brandon explained.

Michael and Meka had argued over Michael allegedly giving his wife an ultimatum off camera while they were flying on a plane to Panama for their honeymoon.
Meka alleged that Michael had said if they didn't consummate their marriage by the end of the honeymoon, he would probably want out of their relationship.
Meka firmly stood by what she had heard, but Michael wouldn't confirm or deny on the show what his exact words were.
Instead, Michael just insisted he was trying to be direct and straightforward with his wife in their discussion about intimacy in order to avoid problems or confusion in the future.
In the latest episode of Married at First Sight's tenth season, Michael and Meka attempted to establish a friendship first by enjoying an excursion in Panama and getting to know each other better.
At the end of a very busy but fun day, Michael told his wife he had high hopes for their marriage and really cared about her, and so Meka pulled him in for a genuine hug.
Married at First Sight's tenth season also stars Brandon's wife Taylor Dunklin and Zach's wife Mindy Shiben as well as Katie Conrad and Derek Sherman and Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd.
Married at First Sight currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
