During Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Michaela watched back Season 13 footage of Zack saying he woke up early the morning of their argument to take his dog Bella to daycare.

"At the time, I realized she was actually mad that I just left without saying anything," Zack tells his friend in the clip, as footage airs of Michaela throwing down items in their apartment with anger.
"But apparently she just was out of the whole place [with her stuff]."

Zack proceeded to tell his friend that after Pastor Calvin Roberson visited with them and discussed the fight, he and Michaela had a follow-up conversation in private and off-camera.
"She left and we had a conversation on the phone reconciling our differences, and I thought that conversation went well," Zack explains.
"And then she texted me like an hour later saying, 'I'm not doing the housewarming. My friends are not coming. I'm not doing it.' And I'm just like, 'Okay, I can't do this. That's not how I handle stuff."
Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight and is still married to her match, Doug Hehner -- asked Michaela what it was like to watch back that footage.
"I was upset, and I'm not going to make an excuse or try to shy away from that," Michaela said.

"When he said that we talked after Pastor Cal left and kind of reconciled, that's not true."
Michaela recalled the talk being short and sweet, with no resolution.
"We said two or three sentences to each other, and he said, 'I'm eating, I've got to get off the phone," Michaela recalled.
"And so there was no reconciliation. And so, no, I don't want to have a housewarming party with somebody who's too busy to talk to me about something that's very important to me."

When asked if she's typically very confrontational, Michaela replied with a laugh, "I don't back down!"
"I guess that gives me my answer!" Jamie joked.
Michaela joked that viewers were able to witness "a little piece" of "Hurricane Chae," which her friends had nicknamed her.
"What category [of hurricane] is this?" Jamie asked.
"That was probably, like, three -- and five is the highest," Michaela acknowledged. "That was like a three."

Michaela insisted her little meltdown "wasn't that bad," suggesting Zack's horrified reaction to it may have been a bit much.
Michaela said the fight unfortunately left a lasting impact on her relationship.
"I now feel like I'm under a microscope," Michaela admitted. "And now I have to walk on eggshells, and I can't seem to break past his perception that I'm this confrontational person."
But Michaela confirmed, "I'm not completely ready to throw in the towel."
"This is not a girlfriend and boyfriend situation. We are married and we have to learn what our past behaviors were and how to fix that going forward," Michaela shared on Unfiltered.
Jamie said Michaela and Zack seemed to realize what had kept them from being successfully paired with a partner in the past.
"Hopefully you'll grow from this and it will just be a bump in the road," Jamie noted.
"Yeah," Michaela agreed.

During Wednesday night's Season 13 episode of Married at First Sight, Michaela admitted to Zack she had overreacted about their lack of communication on the morning of his errands and Zack was justified in feeling hurt and abandoned when she left the apartment.
Michaela insisted she was "all in" and really wanted their marriage to work.

But Zack shared with Michaela how he worried their relationship was going to be a repeat of his past and their problem was bigger than communication.
"It's how we handle conflict," Zack said. "And that's something I don't know how we can change. I'm honestly scared to tell you how I feel right now, because I'm scared you'll blow up."
Zack confessed that he couldn't eat and didn't feel good at all.
"When I pulled up [to our housewarming party], I got anxiety. I did not want to come in here," Zack told Michaela. "I felt horrible. It was more anxiety than the wedding day, I kid you not."
Michaela apologized and wanted to make things right, but she wondered how long it was going to take Zack to come around.
Zack wasn't sure how to fix the problem, but he said that was "okay," that they didn't need to solve and have the answer to every single problem they face immediately.
Zack suggested they should take a step back due to their "fundamental difference" in how they handle certain things.

"It's too big of a difference for me right now," Zack admitted.
"I've apologized and I've admitted that I was f-cking wrong," Michaela noted.
Zack recalled how Michaela canceling their housewarming party took him "over the top" and she can't just do something like that, and Michaela started to cry. Michaela said she had no idea canceling the housewarming party would upset Zack as much as it did.
"I don't know how to make you understand that this is something new to me. I'm not saying that you're wrong and I'm not saying that I'm right, but I'm saying that I'm sorry," Michaela said.

Zack said part of marriage is figuring things out and sometimes taking time apart from each other.
"I feel horrible right now, and I can't fake it. I'm sorry," Zack told Michaela.
Zack proceeded to tell the cameras that he felt "heartbroken" because he had been hoping to find The One and his forever partner on Married at First Sight.
"I've wanted this my whole life and so it's definitely hurtful. I'm definitely not happy about where we are. At this moment, I don't know if we'll be able to resolve this," Zack explained.
Zack decided to leave the apartment for the night because he didn't feel comfortable staying with Michaela. Zack said he felt anxious and uncomfortable in a situation he simply didn't want to be in.
Michaela therefore went in her bedroom alone and closed the door.
