Married at First Sight star Mitch has explained how his feelings for Krysten changed after they spent a flirtatious night together at the start of their honeymoon in Mexico.

Mitch, a 41-year-old environmental policy advocate, was matched to marry Krysten, a 32-year-old sales representative, by Married at First Sight experts Pastor Calvin Roberson and Dr. Pepper Schwartz on Season 15 of the Lifetime reality series.

Krysten thought Mitch was handsome and felt chemistry with him on their wedding day, but Mitch told the cameras, "I wasn't right off the bat attracted to her because my type is less physical and more lifestyle. She maybe seems a little more mainstream than me."
Fast forward to the honeymoon, Mitch admitted to Krysten during their first dinner date in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, how he was lacking an attraction to her and hadn't felt any urges to get physical with her yet.

However, Krysten remained optimistic, and a night of tequila shots and chocolate-covered strawberries led to the pair kissing in their hotel room that night, with Mitch admitting he got "all fired up."
During the August 3 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, host Keshia Knight Pulliam asked Mitch how things seemed to shift "from zero to 100" for him that romantic evening.
"Yeah, it's pretty weird... So, there was some tequila, but I think it was just, like, for me, being honest and just getting that off my chest -- that was keeping me in my head," Mitch explained.
"That was keeping me [from] being present, and it just made me much more comfortable."
Mitch added of Krysten, "The way she handled it, with such grace and showing me how confident she is in herself, was attractive and is [attractive]."

Mitch said a woman's confidence and positivity is "definitely part of" what makes him attracted to a partner.
When asked if Mitch was able to see through the panic and find good things about Krysten, he replied, "Yeah, absolutely. She is so optimistic and positive, which is a nice complement for me because I love the world and I love people, but I do have a bit of a negative outlook on the world."
"I just like how she's easy to talk to," Mitch noted. "And she's right off the bat just supportive of me and my eccentricities."

Shortly after Mitch and Krysten went paddleboarding on the first day of their honeymoon, Mitch FaceTimed with his brother Matt to complain about how, although Krysten is "an amazing person," he wasn't "feeling that physical spark" with his wife and couldn't pretend otherwise.

Matt advised his brother to make his best effort in getting to know Krysten because Mitch didn't vow to be attracted to her on the first day.
Matt also pointed out how Krysten is "cute" and so it was possible Mitch could develop feelings for her slowly over time.
But Mitch couldn't contain how he was feeling, and so he told Krysten the truth during their dinner date in Mexico.
"It's just not quite there for me right now, and maybe I may not be feeling that physical attraction with you. And that's not easy for either of us," Mitch confessed. "I'm the one with the issue here; it's not about you."
Krysten said she didn't understand because when Mitch looked at her, she could tell that he thought she was attractive. Mitch said the physical part was just moving slower for him.

Krysten acknowledged how she wasn't going to try to convince her husband that she's pretty and a catch, and Mitch agreed, saying he just hoped those feelings would come organically and he had no desire to cut and run.
"I'm committed to seeing this through with you, day by day," Mitch noted.

Krysten didn't want to ask for specifics since they'd probably hurt her feelings, and she was already on the verge of tears.
"I feel confused. I just feel blindsided by him because his actions are showing me constantly that he is into me," Krysten told the cameras. "I'm just kind of hoping he is filled with anxiety and is in his head. I genuinely believe there is a chance he could get there on his own, but I'm not doing any convincing."
Krysten called this "the worst case scenario," her husband not being attracted to her, but she planned to continue being herself and just having fun. Krysten said they had good conversations and got along great, and the couple ended up kissing before bed.
Mitch and Krysten then received professional massages the next day, and Mitch told the cameras how a fire can always be stoked and his prior interaction with Krysten in the bedroom gave him some hope for their relationship going forward.
Krysten was happy Mitch had made a move, and she told him that he's a good kisser. But Krysten explained to Mitch how she didn't go all the way with him due to feeling insecurities. She didn't want that night to be their "moment."
Krysten wanted to feel appreciated, telling her husband, "If we do get to Decision Day and I don't have sex from you or an 'I love you' from you, I will ask for a divorce."
