Married at First Sight star Ryan Oubre has revealed he felt an "instant connection" with wife Clara Berghaus on their wedding day and the experience was "awesome."

Ryan was joined by Married at First Sight expert Dr. Pepper Schwartz on Unfiltered, and Jamie asked Pepper for her thoughts on Ryan's blindfold idea in which Ryan and Clara were both blindfolded and unable to see each other until the exact same moment, when they first joined hands at the altar.
"I thought it was very dramatic, but I thought it was 'very Ryan,' you know? I knew he would do something that would customize [the ceremony]," Pepper shared.
Jamie joked, "Who, Ryan with the mustache?"
And Pepper replied, "Exactly, need I say more."
Ryan said he thought Clara was "gorgeous" at first glance.
Ryan gushed about the couple's initial meeting, "I would definitely say there was an instant connection right away, which is awesome."
"I think that's something you really can't equate for," Ryan went on to explain.
"There's not, like, a scientific answer or something you can fill out on a survey to say, like, 'Hey, I'm going to instantly connect with this person.' I definitely feel that way right now."
Pepper was all smiles as Ryan spoke, and the expert became even more smitten with Ryan as he spoke about his bride later on.

"Girls dream of their wedding day and all of these things, so I think the thing that was really going through my head was just making sure that this day lives up to what [Clara] wanted it to be, for sure," Ryan explained.
Jamie noted that was "so sweet," and Pepper gushed, "I love this guy!"
Not only did Ryan feel an instant connection with his wife, but he also said on Unfiltered, "I would definitely say from the first few minutes with Clara, I understood why we were matched, for sure."
In fact, Ryan was shocked the pair had never met before their wedding day given their shared hobbies and mutual friends.
On Married at First Sight's currently-airing twelfth season, Clara also made it clear she was attracted to Ryan immediately, and she quickly came to believe they could have a great future together. Clara even went as far as to say they seemed "meant to be."
Clara told the cameras that Ryan seemed charismatic, charming, handsome and cute, which were all things she had asked the experts for in a partner.
"I feel like Clara has energy for days and I'm a person who's really comfortable with quiet time. So we'll see what happens!" Ryan said in a confessional with a laugh.
The pair did not have sex on their wedding night, but Clara noted sparks and physical intimacy would probably come naturally to them.

Clara hoped Ryan's parents wouldn't judge her or disapprove of their marriage as a result.
The couple then traveled to Las Vegas together for their honeymoon, and Clara said she was ready to take her marriage to the next level in the bedroom since she and Ryan had already established a friendship.
