Married at First Sight star Stacia Karcher has revealed why she believes her husband Nate Barnes was so hesitant to fall in love with her.

Nate, a 34-year-old day trader, and Stacia, a 37-year-old accountant, were immediately smitten with each other when they exchanged vows in San Diego on Married at First Sight's fifteenth season.

Stacia and Nate appeared to be a perfect match, but their relationship started going downhill once Stacia demanded her husband be more vulnerable, communicative and expressive.

And when Stacia asked Nate to describe how he was working towards falling in love with her on a scale from 1-10, Nate only gave his wife a "four" as they were approaching the one-month anniversary of their marriage.

Stacia watched back that surprising and awkward conversation she had with Nate during an August 31 appearance on Married at First Sight: Afterparty.

Stacia admitted to Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam that she was taken aback by Nate's four out of 10 -- or 40 out of 100 percent -- rating on the love scale.

"Really?! [You're] at a four?! The disrespect!" Stacia said with a laugh.

Stacia confirmed that by that point, Nate had already told her that he was falling in love with her.

"So I'm like, 'Why are we flip-flopping over here?!'" Stacia vented. "So you can take showers with me and cupcake with me and you want to kiss on me? I think he's just afraid... He's very guarded."

Stacia, however, didn't think Nate was taking a step back from her in their marriage.

"I think it's fear. Up until this point, I think he just kind of thought, 'Oh, we're just going to get to know each other and have fun and let this happen organically.' That was his favorite word," Stacia recalled.

"[But I was like], 'We need to figure this out right now!'"

Stacia revealed how she and Nate were having "sexy time" in their apartment, but Nate still wouldn't use the word "love." Instead, Nate told his wife how he really liked her.

"I'm like, 'We're already married, we're already sharing a bed,'" Stacia complained.

Stacia said Nate was put into a great situation where he was afforded the opportunity to move into a house and share a bank account with her -- things she considered "luxuries." (Stacia makes significantly more money than Nate).

"I just wanted to know, like, 'If you feel it, can you say it?' Instead of, like, 'I need to wait six months,' or, 'I need to wait a year,'" Stacia said, adding how Nate didn't even need to say "I love you" during a special or romantic moment.

Although Stacia wanted more from Nate on an emotional level, she acknowledged how she needed to be more patient with him.

"I think that as I started to put pressure and continuously ask him, I think he started to pull away," Stacia noted.

When the couple had a counseling session with Married at First Sight psychologist and sex therapist Dr. Pia Holec on the latest Season 15 episode, Stacia announced how she felt isolated, lonely, sad and abandoned in her relationship.

Nate therefore questioned, "What more can I prove to you that I'm all in? I need you to understand me when I say that stuff, because if you continue to not believe me and have faith in me, I'm going to start giving up."

On Afterparty, Stacia confessed how it was "a little unfair" of her to treat Nate that way.

"I think I just put a lot of pressure on [Nate]. In the moment, I'm living that, but seeing it played back, it's like he's hurting almost," Stacia explained.

"I can clearly see it now. In the moment, I think I was speaking from a place of hurt as well."

Married at First Sight star Justin joined Stacia on Afterparty and admitted he was "surprised" to hear about Stacia and Nate's issues because they looked like a "perfect" couple from the outside looking in.

"I can empathize with Nate in that moment. In my perspective, I think I'm giving my all, but from Alexis' perspective, I'm being vague -- same thing with Nate," Justin shared.

"He feels like he's putting it all on the table... But from Stacia's perspective, it just felt like it wasn't enough. I get where he was coming from."

Stacia pointed out how she could have better communicated with Nate the things that she needed from him.

"He can say that he's doing all of these great things, but I don't take that as you love me or you're committed to me. You have to kind of do the things that I need you to do... [and speak the same love language]," Stacia explained.

Stacia concluded that her fights with Nate on the latest episode were "hard to watch" because they both looked "defeated."

Stacia told Keshia how she wanted to see all of her husband, and not just the good side.

"I think in his past, he's had people react to him and judge him, but it's like, 'That's what I'm asking of you, so please give me that in return,'" Stacia noted.

Nate said if Stacia continued to question him and his motives, their relationship was not going to work out.

But Stacia thought Nate got really upset over insignificant things, especially since Nate had already agreed to marry her and be committed to her.

"If this is how he's reacting, it's scary!... You're basically just saying, 'I'll be done.' That's not what a marriage is, and I don't stand for that," Stacia explained in a confessional.

Nate ended his fight with Stacia on last week's episode by saying it was a Stacia problem and not a Nate problem.
