Married at First Sight star Stacia Karcher has revealed surprising news about her commitment to Nate Barnes.

On the latest episode of Married at First Sight, Lindy Elloway begged her husband Miguel Santiago to add her to his health insurance, but in exchange for the gesture, Miguel demanded that Lindy change her last name and take his surname.

Stacia, a 37-year-old accountant from San Diego, CA, admitted on the August 24 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty that she thinks the health insurance is a bigger deal than the name change -- and there's a reason for that.

Stacia revealed that she has already changed her last name to Barnes.

"[If I were Miguel], I probably would've been like, 'Whoa!' But again, we are married, and I do see her side, but I also see Miguel's side," Stacia said.

"I [changed my name] on Day 2 [of the experiment]. I was, like, ready to go."

Stacia, however, pointed out how she has "a different experience and perspective" from the other Season 15 Married At First Sight brides.

"I have no association with my last name," Stacia explained.

"So, you know, I'm all willing to get rid of it and to actually have some type of identity with my husband's last name. That means more to me."

At the beginning of the Married at First Sight season, Stacia told the other women in the cast how she had been planning to change her last name to Barnes at some point.

Stacia didn't know her biological father, and so she was going to be proud of her new name. Stacia also said she had no intention of changing it a second time, even if she and Nate's marriage ultimately ends in divorce.

"Nate is stuck with me forever and ever. I'll always be a Barnes," revealed Stacia, who had been longing to know the mystery side of her identity her entire life.

Stacia and Nate, a 34-year-old day trader from San Diego, CA, were immediately attracted to each other at their wedding, and their connection has continued to grow.

Stacia, however, has asked Nate multiple times to open up and be more vulnerable with her in expressing his feelings and sharing details of his past.

When the couple hosted a housewarming party at the apartment Married at First Sight had provided for them, Stacia and Nate's friends could tell the pair had a lot in common and seemed like a "natural" fit for each other.

"I had the instant connection and chemistry with him on the day of our wedding, but our family did too," Stacia told host Keshia Knight Pulliam on Afterparty.

"Our friends and family, everybody meshed at the wedding and everybody loves him. And I love all of his friends, and it's just very easy."

While Stacia and Nate were on the same page about their career goals, cleanliness around the house, and expectations for their marriage, they were on a different timeline for having children.

Stacia, at age 37, wanted to have a child in a year, and Nate wished they had more time, more like three to five years. Nate wasn't sure how Stacia was going to be around kids, especially since she didn't like dogs and was a workaholic.

But Nate's friends explained to Stacia how Nate didn't have a mother in the picture growing up and so he just wanted to feel totally secure and confident in his partner before welcoming kids into the picture.

Stacia didn't have the best childhood either, but Nate apparently needed reassurance that his wife wasn't going to leave and abandon him.

Nate also shared with Stacia's friends at the housewarming party how he planned to be more communicative with his wife considering Stacia thought he had "no feelings."

And Nate's friends asked Stacia to be patient with Nate because she'd probably like the results.

Married at First Sight, which currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime, also stars Justin and Alexis, Krysten and Mitch, and Morgan and Binh.
