Married at First Sight's Season 8 couples all live in the Philadelphia area, but according to Stephanie Sersen, she and husband AJ Vollmoeller actually lived extremely close to each other before the tied the knot sight unseen.

"Stephanie, tell us honestly, would you go for AJ in a normal setting? Is he your type of guy?" Unfiltered host Jamie Otis asked when the topic of physical attraction was broached.
"No. I mean, we've lived a mile from each other in the city. We could've crossed paths," Stephanie replied.
Jamie was shocked to hear such a coincidence, and then Stephanie elaborated on the irony of their situation.
"Our favorite bar that we always go to is the same place, and we know the same bartenders, but we never saw each other," Stephanie revealed.
"Now did we cross paths and not notice each other because we weren't interested or did we really just never cross paths?"
When Stephanie and AJ met at the altar, however, there appeared to be instant chemistry and mutual attraction.
The couple quickly bonded over their similar sense of humors, and goals and values in life. For instance, both individuals are very career focused and love to travel.
Stephanie and AJ's marriage continues to strengthen with every episode of Married at First Sight, but Stephanie has struggled to accept her husband's random and frequent outbursts in which he vents his frustrations.

AJ insisted his tantrums are usually related to the production elements of the show and have nothing to do with Stephanie or their marriage, but Stephanie is starting to be affected by his negative attitude.

In addition to Stephanie and AJ, Season 8 of Married at First Sight also stars Kristine Killingsworth and Keith Dewar, Will Guess and Jasmine McGriff, and Kate Sisk and Luke Cuccurullo.
The series currently airs on Tuesday nights on Lifetime, and the couples are currently one week from "Decision Day" in which they must decide whether to stay married or get a divorce.
