Married at First Sight star Zach Justice is explaining why he proposed marriage to Mindy Shiben at the beginning of their wedding on Season 10 of the Lifetime reality series.

As shown on a previous episode of Married at First Sight 10, Zach got down on one knee and popped the question to Mindy at the altar before they proceeded to exchange vows and say, "I do."

Mindy was giddy with excitement when she was able to choose to say, "Yes."

"Okay, Zach, you've got some swagger," Married at First Sight: Unfiltered host Jamie Otis said during Wednesday night's broadcast. "If I wondered, now I know."

"That was a player move, wasn't it?" noted Married at First Sight expert Pastor Calvin Roberson, who worked with Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Dr. Viviana Coles to match the couple for matrimony.

"Yeah, all of it! Yeah!" MAFS Season 10 participant Meka added on Unfiltered.

Zach seemed a little embarrassed by all the praise, but then Pastor Cal assured him, "That's a good thing! That's a good thing."

And Jamie agreed it was an "adorable" gesture.

When asked what inspired him to propose at his wedding, Zach explained he didn't want to totally miss out  on the engagement phase that typically comes before a marriage.

"Well you skip all of these traditional moments, right? You skip the first date, you skip the first kiss, you skip all of these really neat memories," Zach said on Unfiltered.

"And to be able to create a memory right off the bat was kind of [the idea there]."

Pastor Cal called it "such a cool move," as it was a first in Married at First Sight history.

"He got points for that," Pastor Cal said. "He got mad points for that."

Later in the Unfiltered broadcast, Zach watched an extended clip of Married at First Sight's tenth season in which his father asked Mindy to dance at the wedding reception while Zach was dancing with his mother.

Mindy was heartbroken because her parents did not support her decision to wed a stranger on television, and so they -- along with one of Mindy's sisters -- chose not to attend the wedding.

"That is unprecedented," Pastor Cal said of Zach's father dancing with the bride, although last season of Married at First Sight featured Amber Bowles' mother dancing with the groom Matt Gwynne considering his parents were absent at the wedding.

"So you get your swagger from your daddy?" Jamie joked with Zach.

"I guess so," Zach replied.

"Wow, that is so heartwarming to see your dad reach out and dance with her," Jamie noted.

Pastor Cal added it was a "very cool" thing to see, and Zach subsequently revealed his father is an "amazing" man.

"I'm glad my dad stepped up to do that and recognized the same thing, like, 'Wait a second, her father isn't here, so let me be that example,'" Zach said.

Jamie called the scene "so sweet," and Pastor Cal agreed it "was the coolest" thing for Zach's dad to do.

Mindy worried before the wedding her groom would see it as a red flag that her parents weren't present, but Zach revealed on Unfiltered, "I really didn't think too much of it."

Zach was sure Mindy would explain the situation once she felt comfortable enough to do so, so he "didn't put any stock" in her parents not being there.

"[I wasn't like], 'Wait a second, this is a bad sign that her family is not here,'" Zach recalled. "I knew there had to be a good reason for it, so it didn't really bother me in the slightest."

Meka -- who married Michael Watson on the series -- also gave Zach's father props for stepping up to the plate during a difficult time for the Mindy.

"I think that was really nice," Meka gushed.

"For me having such a big family and knowing that my family was there, I can't imagine having to do that without my family there. So I think it was really sweet that your dad did that."

Jamie then asked Pastor Cal to share his thoughts, and the pastor just raved about how it was "great."

"After I saw what [Zach] did at the wedding and then to see what your dad did at the reception, it's kind of like that whole 'apple not falling far from the tree' [phrase],'" Pastor Cal shared.

"I mean really, that kind of consideration is admirable."

In addition to Zach, Mindy, Meka and Michael, Married at First Sight's tenth season also stars Taylor Dunklin and Brandon Reid, Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd, and Katie Conrad and Derek Sherman.

Married at First Sight currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
