But only hours after their wedding ceremony, Alyssa determined that Chris wasn't her type and they weren't a good match for a number of alleged reasons.
Alyssa therefore slept in a different hotel room from her husband on their wedding night and managed to keep her distance from Chris for the majority of their honeymoon in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Other than a few group outings with the cast, Alyssa and Chris appeared to only spend a few moments alone, such as when they went paddleboarding and played tennis.
During the February 9 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty hosted by Keshia Knight Pulliam, Chris and Lindsey watched back a Season 14 clip of Alyssa telling Chris at the end of the honeymoon her ideal plan in regards to moving in together.
Considering the show was going to provide each couple an apartment in Boston, MA, Alyssa tells Chris in front of their co-stars, "My thought was you can move in to the apartment for the first half [of the rest of the experiment] and then I could move in for the second half."
"Just because it didn't work out in a romantic sense," she continues, "that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be able to participate."
Chris says in reply in the clip, "I had not heard that strategy. That's not something I'm interested in. I love all of you; I didn't come here for you guys."
Keshia noted on Afterparty how there was clearly a lot going through Chris' mind at the dinner table in that moment.

"This was just one more instance of [Alyssa] saying, 'I'm not here for the process, I'm here for the experience,'" Chris claimed.

"She came into this [show] expecting perfection, and when she didn't get it said, 'Then I guess I'm done, now I'm just going to enjoy the trip to Puerto Rico, the apartment, time together [with our co-stars]' -- and I think it's ridiculous!"
Lindsey then bashed Alyssa's "idea" of how to continue the Married at First Sight process.
"[She's like], 'I don't want to be married, I don't want to give this guy a shot, but let me live in this apartment and be on TV for four weeks!'" Lindsey said.
"Girl, no! Obviously you just wanted to be on TV, get out of here!"
Lindsey admitted she had to hold her tongue the entire time Alyssa and Chris were having this conversation at dinner.
"I was [muttering], 'Please, somebody bring me some alcohol,'" Lindsey called.
"What did you want to say?" Keshia asked Lindsey.
"I wanted to say, 'Girl, get the f-ck out of here!'" Lindsey confessed.

"That was it! 'Get the f-ck out of here,'" Lindsey confirmed.

"I think generally all of us kind of rallied around Chris in that moment, and the fact that he was being so genuine and pouring his heart out there to a woman who didn't give a care about anyone except herself and her appearances and opinions."
Lindsey then trashed Alyssa and noted, "She's faker than her lips! You know?"
Alyssa called Chris "immature" and had heard from his groomsmen how he's an opinionated and somewhat argumentative man who can come across as "condescending" in conversation, which essentially sent Alyssa into a tailspin of tears on her wedding night.
Alyssa also told the cameras Chris is not her "type," before admitting to her husband they're not compatible -- neither in their hobbies or lifestyles -- and she felt "gypped" in the experiment.
Alyssa also bashed Chris presumably when she thought she wasn't being filmed during their honeymoon.
"You wanna talk to him?" a producer asked Alyssa on the latest Season 14 episode.
"No, I do not want to talk to him! I hate him!" Alyssa yelled. "He's a f-cking assh-le! He's disrespectful and he's rude and he's doing me dirty."
Alyssa seemed furious Chris had questioned her intentions for going on Married at First Sight to begin with.

"It's f-cking disgusting that a man is treating a woman like that, who's been nothing but nice to him! I am a good person and if I don't come off that way on the show, I'm going to be f-cking pissed!" Alyssa shouted.

In their few conversations off-camera, Chris recalled to Keshia, "They don't go anywhere because I'm asking her, 'Is there any chance this [marriage will work]?' And she says, 'No,' that she feels robbed by the experts, that she didn't get what she was looking for."
Lindsey said Chris definitely "took the high road" in his tumultuous relationship.
"He was willing to accept [Alyssa] with where she's at, and she doesn't even want to give him the time of day," Lindsey said.
Once Alyssa told Chris that she didn't want to live with him in Boston, Chris gently demanded that Alyssa tell him whether she was in -- at least "one percent" -- or all out. Chris told his wife that if she wanted to try to work on their marriage, even in the slightest, he would be "all in" for her.
Alyssa, however, refused to give Chris a straight answer, knowing she didn't want her experience and time on the show to end.
