Two-time Olympic gold medalist track star Maurice Greene may have become a proficient dancer during his tenure on Dancing with the Stars, but don't expect him to explain how the show's judges had decided whether or not he was off his game at any given time.

"Some nights I would be like 'Oh yeah! We did good,'" Greene said during a Wednesday night Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance with his professional partner Cheryl Burke that followed their elimination from Dancing with the Stars' seventh season.

"And then [the judges' scores would] come up '6,' and I'm like 'Huh? What'd I do?!'" he added.

Greene told Kimmel that he had been "a little bit" disappointed by his elimination, but had taken solace in the fact that he had done everything in his power to succeed on the ABC reality dance competition show and his elimination had ultimately been dictated by the show's judges and viewers.

"I had no control over [getting eliminated]. This is not in my hands," he told Kimmel. If it was totally in my control, I'd have been very upset."

However, Greene said his felt that making it to the competition's Top 5 was still quite an accomplishment, and that the competition was, in his eyes, still wide open for any of the four remaining couples.

"Everybody that's on the show now, it could be any person to win right now," he told Kimmel.

Burke -- who joined Greene onstage for the interview -- also responded to Kimmel after he suggested that she had yelled at Greene a lot during their time together on the show.

"I wasn't yelling, I was being nice. I just told him what I wanted..." Burke told Kimmel with a smile.

"...in a very stern way," she added with laugh.

However, she added that her "tough love" had gotten her points across to Greene, even if it took a few attempts to do so.

"After a couple of times telling him over and over again, he started listening," she told Kimmel.

"After you get told like that, you gotta listen," Greene added with a smile.

Greene also had a simple answer for Kimmel when asked why he had chosen to shave his mustache.

"Because she told me to," Greene said, pointing to Burke.

While Burke agreed, she said that she had thought -- at the time -- that it would be a good decision to help one of their upcoming performances.

"We were dancing the waltz, and it's a classy, elegant dance," Burke told Kimmel. "I thought 'Just shave it off, it might just bring something new to the dancefloor."

"But, we still got three '7's," she admitted with a laugh.
