Melanie "Mel B" Brown is recovering after breaking two ribs and hurting her right hand.
The 43-year-old singer and "America's Got Talent" judge shared a photo from the emergency room Monday after undergoing a three-hour surgery for her injuries.
"Thankyou to all the wonderful nurses dr's and my amazing surgeon for the care and expertise given to me here at the hospital I've been staying at, suffering 2 broken ribs a severed right hand needing emergancy care, to having had to have over a 3 hr surgery to repair the damage," she wrote.
The Spice Girls singer apologized for cancelling her book signing, which was to take place Monday in New York.
"I appolagise to each and everyone of you who bought there tickets to meet me today. I'm absolutely gutted but I can assure you it WILL happen at a later date," the star promised.
"My right arm/hand is all stitched up and I'm trying to keep still to heal my broken ribs, ohhh the pain, but I'm in super safe hands with the care of everyone here in the hospital!!!!! thank you all for understanding, I love you all #accidentshappen #needtimetoheal #hospital," she added.
Spice Girls singers Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C rushed to support Mel B at the hospital.
Mel B posted a picture of her bandmates gathered around her hospital bed.
"When your besties show up to hospital with hugs laughter and ALOT of love, ahhhh I love my spice girls yipppeee #friendship #family #spicegirls," she wrote.

Mel B tagged the posts in London but did not explain how she sustained her injuries. She and the Spice Girls confirmed in November they will embark on a reunion tour in 2019 without Victoria Beckham.
