Misguided telephone voters for John O'Hurley's dancing skills on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" have rung up $500 in charges for an oil field company.

The show airs Wednesday nights, and voters apparently like O'Hurley's quick-step, because they start calling the wrong number at the top of each hour to vote for the actor who played catalogue king J. Peterman on "Seinfeld."
The toll-free number being dialed begins 888, instead of the correct 866. That means the Mount Pleasant, Mich., answering service for Samson Resources gets swamped with calls, E! Online said.
The answering service's owner, Kathy Klein, said she'd like either for O'Hurley to get voted off the show completely, or for ABC to cover the cost of the misdirected calls. However, Klein said an ABC employee was rude on the telephone, and shrugged off her request.
"Dancing with the Stars" concludes with the crowning of a winning couple in three weeks.
