Migdalia Sebren, a 28-year-old homemaker from Sanford, NC, became the fourth contestant eliminated from The Biggest Loser: Couples during last night's ninth-season episode of the NBC reality weight-loss series.

Migdalia was eliminated after her Green team -- which also included her mother Miggy Cancel, a 48-year-old chef from Pemberton, NJ -- lost only five pounds and put up the lowest weight-loss percentage at the competition's fourth weigh-in, forcing the other teams to have to vote off one member of her team.
She subsequently insisted the other contestants vote her off and keep her mother, but several teams were put off by Migdalia's heavy-handed approach and refused to honor her wish, deciding that Miggy had been more disruptive and needed to be sent home instead. However Migdalia still ended up receiving votes from four of the seven voting teams, resulting in her ouster via a 4-3 vote.
"My mom gave me everything in my life and there's no doubt in my mind that she needs to be here," Migdalia said following her elimination. "I'm ready to move on, and why stay here if somebody else needs the help?"
"Before I got to the ranch I hated to look at myself in the mirror. Now I can stand up and say I did this and I'm proud of myself. I mean I don't need anyone to give me a pat on the shoulder or anything. Because the person who is walking out of this ranch today, she is happy with herself and she's proud of herself for everything she's done. and I didn't used to be like that."

In a post-elimination update, Migdalia -- who began the competition at 265 pounds -- revealed she now weighs 219 pounds.
"When I first got home I gained about ten pounds," the military wife said. "There were too many things going on, [including] my husband leaving [for deployment to Afghanistan]."
"But after he left I put myself together and I'm back in the game."
The Biggest Loser: Couples' next episode will air Tuesday, February 2 at 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
