Cyrus, a pop star known for her wild antics, will be replacing Rihanna on The Voice's upcoming tenth season as the new key adviser.

The key adviser basically serves as a universal assistant to all four coaches and a guide to all the contestants during the Knockout Rounds. Cyrus will be working alongside confirmed Season 10 coaches Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

"When Miley speaks everyone pays attention. Our artists are very lucky to have the benefit of her instincts and wisdom," NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement. "Our viewers will be treated to an inside look at one of the brightest minds in music and the entertainment industry who is at the forefront of pop culture."

Cyrus tweeted a playful photo of herself on The Voice set Wednesday, just before NBC made its official announcement.

"Lickin @xtina buttonz! @NBCTheVoice #keyadviser #season10," she captioned the goofy image.

The Voice has always attracted big stars in the music industry for the role, as previous seasons have featured singer Taylor Swift, Fun frontman Nate Ruess, and Coldplay's Chris Martin.

The Knockout Rounds follow the Battle Rounds during which each coach has one mentor for his or her own team. Those team mentors, as previously announced, will be rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs, singer Tori Kelly, soul legend Patti LaBelle, and pop rocker Gwen Stefani.

Levine and Shelton have been mainstays on The Voice since it premiered back in 2011. Aguilera starred on the show's first season but then switched on and off with Stefani and Shakira in subsequent editions. This will be Williams' fourth time sitting in one of the big red chairs.

The Voice's tenth season is scheduled to debut Monday, February 29 at 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
