Miranda Lambert recently adopted a stray kitten found on an Arkansas highway.
The 31-year-old singer and former "Nashville Star" contestant shared the news by posting a photo of herself with the cat on Instagram.
Lambert is a known animal lover, and referenced her MuttNation Foundation in the caption.
"'Play me a song Curtis Loew Curtis Loew' ....When your friend @harps226 comes to visit and says 'oh by the way I picked up a stray kitten on the highway in Arkansas and it's in the garage'. And then she smile's this innocent smile. Guess who has a kitten now? @muttnationfoundation #friendsthatrescue #curtisloewcat #cateyes #ohlordy," she wrote.
The singer and her mom, Bev Lambert, founded the MuttNation Foundation in 2007 to help end animal cruelty, neglect and homelessness.
Curtis the kitten joins the 15 rescue animals who live with Lambert on her Tishomingo, Okla., ranch.
"My animals totally keep my grounded," the star told Modern Dog magazine in 2013.
"They don't know 'Miranda Lambert' they know 'mom' ... As soon as I get off stage they are waiting to greet me. They love the person I am even if I never sing another note."
Lambert last released Platinum in June 2014, and kicked off the third leg of her accompanying tour Sept. 25 in Billings, Mont.
