Miranda Lambert came up big at the 2010 Country Music Awards on Wednesday night.

"I don't know what's going on, I just hope like -- I think we need to go to church... the woman that paved the way for all females ever in country music is standing here beside me and handing me this award. And I'm proud that I can now call her a friend," Lambert said winning after the female vocalist award for her final win of the night.
"Thank you so much. Thank you for everything you've done -- thank you Reba [McEntire]. I'm gonna keep going for the other women in this industry, I promise, but thank you so much. I really really appreciate it."
Lambert had received eight CMA nominations -- Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year for "White Liar," and four nominations in the Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories for "The House That Built Me" and "White Liar."
"The House That Built Me" won the Song of the Year category, however songwriters Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin received the award since the category is considered a songwriter award.
Former American Idol fourth-season winner Carrie Underwood had also received Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year nominations but lost to Lambert in both categories.
In addition, former fourth-season Nashville Star winner Chris Young was nominated for the New Artist of the Year award but lost to the Zac Brown Band.
