The former Nashville Star finalist and The Voice adviser won Album of the Year as well as Female Vocalist of the Year for the eighth consecutive time at the 52nd Academy Of Country Music Awards held at T-Mobile Arena on April 2 in Las Vegas, NV.
Lambert, 33, defeated the following nominees for Female Vocalist of the Year: Kelsea Ballerini; Maren Morris; Kacey Musgraves, who appeared on Season 5 of Nashville Star; and Carrie Underwood, who was crowned the winner of American Idol's fourth season.
"It really means the world to me," Lambert said in her acceptance speech. "Carrie can sing me under the table. We've agreed on that. I'm just glad to see females kicking ass these days. I'm so proud to be a part of that. Cheers to all of us girls out there dreaming. Thanks to my fans, thanks ACM, and thanks to my family and friends."
Lambert won Album of the Year for The Weight of These Wings. She had been nominated for the honor four times prior to 2017's awards.

Lambert was up against Black by Dierks Bentley, Dig Your Roots by Florida Georgia Line, Hero by Maren Morris, and Ripcord by Keith Urban, a former American Idol judge.
"I just want to say thank you for letting me use my heartbreak and sharing it with me," Lambert noted in her acceptance speech, clearly referencing her divorce from The Voice coach Blake Shelton, whom she had been married to for four years.
Lambert's album was inspired by her personal life, and its producers Frank Liddell, Eric Masse and Glenn Worf joined the country star -- who finished third on Season 1 of Nashville Star -- onstage when she accepted the award.
"In the day and age of sound bites, I just want to thank Miranda for being willing to look deep in her soul and bringing her life into her heart," Liddell said.
Lambert was also nominated for Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Video of the Year for "Vice." However, the queen of country lost these categories to Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, and Artists of Then, Now & Forever, respectively.

Underwood was nominated for Entertainer of the Year against Urban, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Florida Georgia Line, as well as Female Vocalist of the Year. Jason Aldean won Entertainer of the Year.
Urban, who judged the last several seasons of Idol, was nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. Urban was nominated twice, as both the artist and producer, in the Album and Single Record of the Year categories. Urban's album Ripcord and hit song "Blue Ain't Your Color" were the ones being honored.
Rhett won Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year for "Die a Happy Man," while Florida Georgia Line won Single Record of Year for "H.O.L.Y."
Lauren Alaina, who finished as the runner-up on Season 10 of American Idol, was up for the New Female Vocalist of the Year Presented by T-Mobile award, but Maren Morris won.
Cassadee Pope, who won Season 3 of The Voice, was nominated for Vocal Event of the Year for the song "Think Of You" featuring Chris Young. However, she lost to "May We All" by Florida Georgia Line Featuring Tim McGraw.
