MTV and Rolling Stone have announced that I'm From Rolling Stone, a new reality drama that will follow six young writers over the course of a summer as they work towards earning a highly sought-after position at the music and pop culture magazine, will premiere on Sunday, January 7 at 10:30PM ET/PT.

As they discover the newsroom is a pressure cooker of meeting deadlines and dealing with opinionated editors, the I'm From Rolling Stone writers will also have to compete with one another for story assignments with the hopes of being offered a contract as a contributing editor at the magazine, which reaches thirteen million readers every two weeks.
The six writers competing on I'm From Rolling Stone -- and their MTV supplied profiles -- are:
| Colin Stutz, a 19-year-old USC journalism major and rock musician from Eugene, OR
A young, wide-eyed college kid, Colin is as much indie rocker as reporter. His musical tastes are exactly in line with Rolling Stone, but deep inside Colin doesn't know if he's ready for the big-time journalism scene. With a ghetto background, Krish is all hip-hop, all the time. She wants to bring the 'hood to Rolling Stone. Krish is a true fighter and will do whatever it takes to earn the full-time job at the end of the summer. Krystal is the most knowledgeable fan of Rolling Stone, having been spoon-fed the magazine since she was a kid. She is more in love with the idea of working at Rolling Stone than she is with the idea of doing the work. Can Krystal get past being a fan and find her way as a hard-edged reporter? |

Peter is determined to shed his image as a partier and to prove that, despite his relative lack of journalism experience, he is a contender.
