MTV has denied recent allegations that The Hills  star Heidi Montag was sexually harassed by show creator Adam DiVello.

"We have looked into this matter and the allegations made against Adam DiVello are completely false and without merit," said the network in a Wednesday statement obtained by Us Weekly.

"Adam not only created The Hills and The City, launching the careers of several cast members, but has worked diligently to maintain a respectful and appropriate production environment."

Earlier this week, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton cited "multiple sources" in reporting that Montag has been privately claiming DiVello inappropriately touched her "ass cheeks and lower back" following her 10 plastic surgery procedures last fall.

"Adam can get away with that with the [Audrina Patridge and Kristin Cavallari] of reality TV but not with Heidi! He is a pervert and a creep," a source told Hilton.

"The other girls don't feel they can't defend themselves because they are afraid they will lose their job if they talk about the man's workplace behavior. Heidi will not tolerate sexual assault in the workplace!"

In addition, Hilton reported that there was also "inappropriateness" in DiVello's relationship with former The Hills' star Lauren Conrad -- which she adamantly denied.

"Similar to most of my fellow MTV cast mates, I am in utter shock at the allegations made against Adam DiVello," she told Us in a statement.

"Not only are they completely absurd, but they are 100 percent without merit. Adam is a true professional and a wonderful person to work for."

While Montag has yet to publicly comment on the allegations, a source told Hilton that she and husband Spencer Pratt "are very close to bringing legal action against the show."

The Hills' sixth and final season will premiere April 27.
