WHERE: Tribune Studios, 5800 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028
Stages 3 & 6
TIME: Line-up begins at 7 a.m.; open call from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Throughout the course of the series, the competition will test the contestants’ physical and psychological prowess as well as their acting ability and star potential. The final pair -- one male and one female - may be chosen to star in a television movie, produced by renowned film producer Joel Silver. Additional details can be found at www.nbc.com/contestant, or by calling (888) 878-2634. The producers are looking for 12 exceptional individuals who have the indefinable “it” factor.
The lucky dozen will be flown to Los Angeles to live together under one roof where the serious competition will begin. They will spend six weeks training in acting classes, weapons training and tango lessons, everything that encompasses being an action star … all while smiling under the glaring lights of television cameras! In addition, the 12 will be given the star treatment, as they work with a physical trainer, a stylist and an acting coach who will let them in on all the tricks of the trade. At the end of each episode, each contestant will participate in a screen test, including a challenging stunt action sequence and a dramatic scene, which will be judged by a panel of industry experts. As the competition heats up, the 12 will be narrowed down to one final pair - one man and one woman - who will be crowned America’s newest action stars.
