NBC has begun casting for its new Treasure Hunters reality series -- a new, quest-oriented unscripted series that features multi-player teams to be sent on a global search to solve a puzzle, with the first team to uncover all the clues given the location of a hidden treasure.

As previously reported, Treasure Hunters is a concept that combines elements of the 2002 ABC puzzle-solving show Push, Nevada and CBS's current The Amazing Race hit. Although the show will circle the globe, the emphasis of the competition will focus on the solving of the puzzle (similar to the scripted Push, Nevada and its never-produced unscripted The Runner predecessor) instead of on the race itself.

Those interested in auditioning for Treasure Hunters can apply online by visiting NBC.com. Casting calls will be conducted in Tampa, Nashville, Dallas, Washington D.C., New York City, Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles and Boston.
