NBC's two-hour premiere of the third installment of its For Love Or Money series opened the summer reality show season with lackluster results on Monday evening, drawing only 6.3 million overall viewers and placing third in its time period.

Airing against both ABC's broadcast of the seventh game of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals and a rerun slate of CBS' usual top-rated Everyone Love Raymond, Two and a Half Men, and CSI: Miami, For Love Or Money 3 delivered only a 2.6/7 rating/share in the Adults 18--49 demographic, but did find better support among women, where it ranked a solid second among Women 18-49, Women 18-34 and Women 25-54.

The performance is a steep drop from the figures drawn by last summer's original premiere of the For Love Or Money franchise. Premiering June 2, 2003, the two-hour premiere of the original Rob Campos-led edition of the show drew 10.2 million overall viewers and a 4.7 rating, 12 share among Adults 18-49.

Combined with a timeslot-winning performance of a 8PM repeat episode of Fear Factor, the performance was still good enough to place NBC second (albeit a distant second) for the evening. Among viewers, CBS placed first with an average of 11.0 million, while NBC was second with 6.9 million, ABC third with 6.2 million, and Fox fourth with 5.2 million. The finish was the same among the Adults 18-49 demographic, where CBS lead the pack with a 3.6/11 rating/share, NBC was second with a 2.9/8, ABC third at 2.6 /7 and Fox fourth with a 2.3/7.
