Beginning Tuesday, May 30, World of Dance will move to Tuesday nights at 10PM ET/PT and follow America's Got Talent's broadcast.
Lopez is set to judge World of Dance along with longtime Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough -- who has won six mirrorball trophies -- and Ne-Yo, a Grammy Award-winning singer and dancer.
In partnership with the global dance brand World of Dance, as previously announced, the show will bring the world's elite dancers together to compete in "epic battles of artistry, precision and athleticism" for a $1 million grand prize, according to the network.
Acts will range from solo artists to duos and crews who may perform hip-hop, krumping, popping, locking, tap, ballet, break dancing, ballroom, clogging, stomping and more.
Handpicked from qualifying events around the nation and thousands of online submissions, competitors will be divided into three divisions: Junior (any size act under 17-years-old), Upper (groups from 1-4 people ages 18 and older) and Team (groups of 5 or more people ages 18 and older).
Following the show's initial auditions, divisions will face off in duels. The judging panel of experts will score each act using a point system developed by World of Dance with the following criteria: Performance, technique, choreography, creativity, and presentation.
The competition will consist of five rounds -- Qualifiers, Duels, The Cut, Divisional Final and the World Final. In the first four rounds, dancers only compete within their division, but in the World Final, the winner from each division will compete against each other for the $1 million and title of "Best in the World" on the show's finale.
World of Dance will air over the course of 10 episodes and is being produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio and Nuyorican Productions.
In addition to the premiere of World of Dance, NBC also revealed Season 12 of America's Got Talent, hosted by Tyra Banks, will premiere Tuesday, May 30 at 8PM ET/PT, and Season 6 of American Ninja Warrior, hosted by The New Celebrity Apprentice winner Matt Iseman, will debut Monday, June 12 at 8PM ET/PT.
