As The Bachelor's twelfth-season star, Londoner Matt Grant hopes to put to rest any preconceived notions Americans might have about his fellow countrymen.

"I want to break any cliches that might exist around English men or British men... I don't eat many crumpets. I don't actually drink that much tea."
Just because Grant wants to alter what Americans think about gents from across the Atlantic apparently doesn't mean he's not worried about what the 25 stateside ladies vying for his heart will think upon meeting an English chap.
"I'm really concerned about it -- really concerned about it," Grant told Harrison.
However the ABC-billed "Renaissance man" is also excited about the possibilities presented to him as The Bachelor star.
"Why wouldn't a boy from London want to be here chasing American women?" he asked Harrison. "I've always been interested in American women."
Grant reiterated he had never seen The Bachelor before because it's only shown on satellite in the U.K., but that apparently didn't mean he had no expectations heading into the ABC reality dating series.
"I'm just hoping that, one, I can find the love of my life, and two, I can have some fun as well on the way," he said.
Grant's quest for love will begin when The Bachelor's twelfth season premieres Monday, March 17 at 10PM ET/PT on ABC.
