After its January 22 premiere, Hunted will air a special two-hour episode on Wednesday, January 25 at 8PM ET/PT. Subsequent episodes will then air weekly in the Wednesdays 8-9PM ET/PT time period through March 1.
Hunted will follow nine teams of two in a real-life manhunt as they attempt to disappear and hide as highly-skilled investigators combine state-of-the-art tracking methods with traditional tactics to pursue and catch them.
"From searching their targets' homes and scouring their Internet and cell phone histories, to identifying behavioral patterns, Hunters in the field and Command Center investigators work together to identify clues to potential hiding places and collaborators that can ultimately lead to capture," according to the network.
Fugitives must stay off the grid long enough to avoid being found within 100,000 square miles of the southeastern United States.
A grand prize of $250,000 will be awarded to each team that successfully evades being caught for up to 28 days.
Additional details about the Fugitive teams and Command Center personnel will be announced shortly.
Hunted is based on a UK show, which premiered on Channel 4 in September 2015. The six-episode show returned with a second season in September 2016 and just recently wrapped in late October.
Hunted is being produced by Endemol Shine North America with Laura Fuest Silva, Brian Catalina, Eden Gaha, Rob Smith, and Robin Feinberg serving as executive producers.
