Nick Cannon has addressed rumors he slammed estranged wife Mariah Carey in his latest song.

Cannon, 35, released his new track "Oh Well" last week and people began speculating the song's unflattering rap lyrics were about Carey: "Baby girl, don't cry / I won't lie / Our relationship was a lie / But, baby, some die / I guess we parted, that's all / Oh well."
However, the America's Got Talent host set the record straight Wednesday on Twitter.
"Sorry to disappoint the bottom feeders but you won't be hearing any diss records from me unless it's about the GOVERNMENT! LOL," Cannon tweeted. "How many times do I have to reiterate @MariahCarey and I are super cool! Stop trying to create negativity, we will never subscribe to it."
Cannon and Carey wed in April 2008 and welcomed four-year-old twins Monroe and Morrocan three years later. Cannon filed for divorce in December 2014 after several months of separation.

Carey got engaged to billionaire James Packer in late January. Meanwhile, Cannon has reportedly just been enjoying the single life and dating here or there. E! News reported last year he was romantically involved with model Jessica White but they were "keeping a low profile" out of respect for his family.
"We are both VERY happy and have both moved on, so all the outlets reaching for gossip, it's not 2014 anymore," Cannon tweeted. "Do your jobs better! #OldNews. Like I have always said I will forever Respect and Love @MariahCarey and will never say anything negative about the mother of my children."
Cannon continued, "Yall know me I never have a problem speaking my mind, so If I have something to say, I just come out and say it! I don't beat around the bush or hold my tongue 4 anyone. So let me put this eloquently as possible, Go choke on a fat one! LOL #Wildnout... I didn't release a diss track."
Cannon and the former American Idol judge have at least remained cordial in the public eye since their split. The couple often celebrate holidays and their children's birthdays together.
E! announced last week it has picked up Mariah's World, a new docu-reality series that will follow Carey in her career and personal life.
