"Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning! No matter how hard the world may hit you, God always reminds us of our purpose! #TrueHappiness," Cannon captioned a black-and-white Instagram photo in which he's holding his new baby on Wednesday.
"Welcome to Earth Son! Golden 'Sagon' Cannon 2/21/17 #Awakened," he added.
Just last week, Bell posted a photo on Instagram of Cannon, who made headlines last week when he announced he won't return to host America's Got Talent this summer, and herself at a baby shower. She donned a beautiful, long, off-the-shoulder white dress and Cannon beamed as he placed one hand on her belly.
"I love the both of them beyond words," Bell wrote alongside the image, adding two blue heart emojis. "So many reasons to be joyful!! But last night was one of my favorites. Out little light was showered with love.. and lots of dancing."
In a recent interview with KPWR, Los Angeles' Power 106 radio station, Cannon revealed his five-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey are "super excited" to have a little brother.
Cannon also suggested that getting Bell pregnant was not an accident as most people probably suspected.
"Never an 'oops baby.' I'm so calculated with my moves... I've always wanted five kids," he said. "Just because my marriage was over didn't mean I couldn't continue my family."
Cannon and Bell, a 28-year-old Guamanian-American actress and former Miss Arizona USA, dated on and off following his high-profile split from Carey in 2014. But the couple has apparently known each other for a very long time.
"I wanted to make sure [the mother of my child] was someone who was solid, spiritual and had the same views," Cannon revealed to Power 106. "She's been in my life. Our families grew up in the same projects together in San Diego. So there's a lot of substance there."
Cannon confirmed he was expecting a baby with Bell in mid-November 2016.
"I've got a baby on the way," Cannon said at the time during an interview with the Breakfast Club. "God said be fruitful and multiply. I'm doing the Lord's work... everybody get a baby! I'm passing them out."
