Terrence "Hulk Hogan" Boella and his son Nick apparently think John Graziano got what was coming to him after last August's car crash that has left the former U.S. Marine in need of lifelong care.

A taped phone conversation between Hulk and Nick that took place after the 17-year-old began serving his eight-month jail sentence earlier this month on charges of reckless driving for the aforementioned crash was obtained by TMZ.com and posted Friday.

"I don't know what type of person John was or what he did to get himself in this situation.  I know he was pretty aggressive and used to yell at people and used to do stuff," Hulk told Nick.  "But for some reason, God laid some heavy s**t on that kid.  I don't know what he was into..."

"John was a negative person," replied Nick.

"He was what?" asked Hulk.

"He was a negative person," reiterated Nick.

The youngest member of the Hogan clan was allegedly street-racing his father's 1998 Toyota Supra late last August when he lost control and hit a raised median, spinning the vehicle and causing its rear end to strike a palm tree. 

Graziano -- Nick's front-seat passenger -- spent several weeks in critical condition in a medically-induced coma.  He suffered a broken skull and is expected to need lifelong care that will probably require he spend the remainder of his life in a nursing home.

Following a more than two month investigation by police, Nick was arrested on charges of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury; using a motor vehicle in commission of a felony; being a driver under 21 operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of 0.02% or higher; and having illegal window tinting.

He was sentenced earlier this month to eight months in jail and also received five years of probation and surrendered his driving privileges for three years.

Despite being behind bars, Nick still expressed concern to his dad about his reality television career post-prison.

"Will you work on that reality deal for me?" Nick asked Hulk in the taped conversation.

"Yep," replied Hulk.

"Get that thing lined up for me so the minute I walk out of wherever I walk out of it's there," demanded Nick.

"Can you do it while you're on probation?" wondered Hulk.

"Yeah, of course," Nick answered before Hulk asked if his son would rather work with Hogan Knows Best production company Pink Sneakers or "with someone else."

"I want to do it where I'll make the most money," answered Nick.

Hulk then suggested Nick work with him on the project.

"You know if I'm producing the show I won't screw you.  You know that," Hulk assured his son.

"Yeah, of course," answered Nick.

"I'll make you an owner... You'll own the show," assured Hulk.  "We can call it The New Nick or something.  We'll have to come up with a new name.  Think of a good name."

"I'll be thinking of a good name," answered Nick.  "It will be how I'm getting back on my feet and how I'm recovering after this -- a celebrity out of jail."

While he's been chatting it up with his father, Nick apparently hasn't had the same type of conversations with his mom Linda.

"I was talking to her, I could tell she was doing her thing," Nick told Hulk in a conversation obtained by TMZ.com and posted Sunday. "It was, you know, good times -- just put Nick on the phone with everybody... I said, 'Mom! God Damn it!  Quit putting me on the phone with other people!  I want to talk to you!'"

Linda filed for divorce from Hulk last November, and she has since accused her estranged husband of "legal shenanigans" in a divorce-related court filing.

"She spent $10 million on lawyers," Hulk told Nick.  "I told you, they're not giving her bad advice; they're giving her bad advice on purpose just to keep the clock running and make as much as they can off her.  Anyway, who cares.  I'm going to make more money and keep on rolling."
