Shawn Booth was worried Nick Viall had a leg up in The Bachelorette competition because he exchanged text messages with Kaitlyn Bristowe before the show, but Viall reportedly had a much larger advantage than any of his fellow suitors were aware of.

"They never met in person before the show, but they were talking, texting and Facetiming for hours at a time from late February to early March. It would sometimes go on until the middle of the night. They were explicit about their feelings. And while they didn't sext, intimate photos were exchanged. It was steamy."
Bristowe, 30, appeared stunned and shocked when Viall, a 34-year-old software salesman from Milwaukee, WI, showed up on The Bachelorette and asked to fight for her heart. However, the E! News sources claim Bristowe might've been stretching the truth or putting on a little act because she had actually joked with Viall about continuing their romance on the ABC reality show.
"She told him she was hoping he'd surprise her on the show. She said it in a joking way, but I think she was serious. She told her friends she was hoping he'd do it," an insider close to Bristowe said.
On Night 1 of The Bachelorette's eleventh season, 25 suitors had to choose whether they'd like to date and potentially marry Bristowe or Britt Nilsson. The lady to receive the most votes from the men would be able to stay on the show as its only star. Bristowe obviously won the opportunity and Nilsson was eliminated.
"He was reluctant," explained a Viall friend. "He was hoping Britt would be picked as the Bachelorette so that Kaitlyn could come home and they could pick up where they left off. But once Kaitlyn became Bachelorette, Nick put a call into production. He didn't want to give up on her. He was willing to risk it all."
